At MACC we make sure our students can soar to the greatest heights and reach their goals. As an alternative school we know that learning needs to be hands on and engaging. Last year we took two all-school field trips a month and hope to do the same this year as well. Now registering grades 10-12+.

We have openings for grades 11-12+ for students who are looking for small class sizes, hands-on learning and credit recovery in a professional learning setting. MPS graduating seniors are invited to the Get Hired Now Fair on Saturday, June 8 from 9 a.m.–3 p.m. at the North Career & Technical Education (CTE) Center!

The Get Hired Now Fair connects graduating seniors with Twin Cities employers interested in hiring for full-time and part-time entry-level positions across various industry sectors.

The North CTE Center (1500 Knox Ave. N.) is located at North High School. Enter through Door 1 on Knox Ave.

It’s time for s’more fun and learning at The Loppet! Each month the whole school ventures out to Theo Wirth for outdoor education and community building activities. We love our community partners!

So proud of all of our Quarter 1 award recipients for “honor roll”, “attendance” and “credit earning”. You all have worked so hard for these accomplishments and we are honored to be a part of your journey here at MACC.

Today MACC students went to Slam Academy in NE Mpls to learn about their courses in sound design, DJ-ing and music production. Students were able to learn about how this training center allows community members an accessible space to learn from professionals as well as use state of the art electronic recording equipment. MACC students had a chance to create their own jams, remix and test out different instruments!

Oct. 9 is Indigenous Peoples' Day. MPS honors the culture and heritage of our Indigenous peoples and the beauty, richness and diversity of their contributions to our society. Thanks so much to educator and author Rocky Makes Room for visiting MACC today and telling us some stories and teaching us!

Students at MACC get an opportunity to explore a variety of interests and express their creativity! Students recently learned about fashion design and in Graphic Design class, created their own Minnesota-inspired images and learned how to screen print and make their very own t-shirt!

There is no school for students tomorrow, Friday, Dec. 9 due to staff professional development. Classes resume on Monday, Dec. 12.

Today was trades day for MACC. Students attended Construct Tomorrow with their college and career counselors. They had hands on learning experiences and met passionate representatives from a variety of trades.

What do we do when it snows in North Minneapolis?! We go skiing at Theodore Wirth Park!! MACC students and staff spent another great day learning by doing and building community, thanks to our partnership with The Loppet Foundation. Minneapolis Public Schools

November is Native American Heritage Month! Thanks to all of our families and friends who joined us to celebrate and honor our Native roots with special guest artist, Rachel King-Siert and yummy food from Pow Wow Grounds.

Reminder that there is no school Wednesday, Nov. 23 - Friday Nov. 25. Classes resume on Monday, Nov. 28. We hope you enjoy your break!
