What a day to celebrate! Sue Jordan retired after 26 years at LHUMP and 40 years as an early childhood educator! So fortunate to have had her as a teacher, mentor, and colleague. Thank you, Sue!

Went to St. Paul to listen to Childcare Affordability Bill that was heard in the Senate today - moved forward unanimously! The momentum is here and this bill would significantly impact Minnesota families as soon as THIS FALL!

Pumpkin patch at preschool - some traditions never get old 🎃thanks to the families who volunteered and sunnyside gardens for helping us create this special day!

This is exciting! We hope to see our families, teachers, and community past & present! It’s going to be a fun day at LHUMP! Donuts provided by Denny’s Bakery & live music by preschool alumni dad, John Kerns. Hope to see you there!

Lake Harriet UM Church is having a Community Event on Wednesday, June 28 from 4-7pm that will feature a food truck, magic show, and live entertainment. This is an all ages, community event and we encourage all to come by for the fun!

Meet the Blecher Family! LHUMP kiddos were lucky enough to attend Kinder Konzert last spring and we had the extra special opportunity for a sneak preview of the concert by this amazing preschool family 😊🎻. Who is in your family?
Cece (mom), Richard (dad), Finn, and Annabel. Finn is a proud LHUMP graduate and Annabel will be starting her second year at LHUMP next year.

Favorite weekend activity?
Going to parks and swinging on swings, going to the pool. We love the Woodlake Nature Center. We hope to do lots of hiking and camping this summer.

Where did you go on your last vacation?
Last summer we got to visit Orcas Island, one of the San Juan Islands off the coast of Washington. It was beautiful and fun to feel the freezing ocean water on our toes and swim in the warmer lakes.

Favorite pizza place?
Pizzeria Lola

Something interesting about your family?
Annabel’s dad, Richard is from New Zealand. Annabel hasn’t been yet, but we look forward to when that can happen! Richard and Cece are both classical musicians. Richard plays the cello and Cece plays the violin.
