FUSE is kicking off our weekly Book Club this Wednesday, February 10th !
“For Black History Month, we are focusing on texts that deal with discrimination and the challenges people of color face in the United States. We will be discussing the short story Liars Don't Qualify by Junius Edwards. This story deals with disenfranchisement, and this is particularly significant as evidenced by the recent election.

The story can be accessed here: https://www.whatsoproudlywehail.org/curriculum/the-american-calendar/liars-dont-qualify

While you read, think about the questions that Will gets asked and about the structure of the story and the effect this has on the reader.

If you have any questions, or suggestions about texts you would like to discuss, please email me at [email protected]” -Rony, FUSE Officer
