Happy Fourth of July! May we recognize the blessings our founding fathers established for us and may we never lose sight of what true freedom is and the price paid.
Come join our dream team, where making a difference matters!!
Update for those asking. Office sand bags worked! We stayed dry. Created a little berm to keep any rain from down spouts from flowing to door just in case. Ditches are full and cones surround my approach yet. Need bigger culverts out here!
Due to impending storm we have to cancel and start sand bagging. Stay safe and pray up.
Thank you to friends and family for helping!
UP DATE! Closed!!!!! Our road was closed down mid morning to office. With impending rain we had to cancel patients in order to sand bag.
Shout out to my friend and her family Wendy Axtel for bagging and placing the barrier.
…….
We are open.
Short staffed this morning.
Road is open and drivable though it has a few inches over it.
Please pray with me that the rain this evening be diverted!
Very common problem

Benefits of Vitamin D:
-Regulates more than 2,000 of the 30,000 human genes, and plays a significant role in immune function
-Helps the body absorb calcium
-Contributes to a variety of overall health functioning, including muscular strength and recovery, physical reaction time, as well as balance and coordination
As many as one billion people worldwide are estimated to be vitamin D deficient. If you live in non-equatorial latitudes, the sun may not be strong enough to produce vitamin D for about half of the year.

Several traditional plant-based supplements for improving immunity
have been carefully studied and shown to have high immune activity.
Astragalus has antibacterial, antiviral, and anti-inflammatory properties. It’s often used to prevent colds and respiratory infections and to treat skin infections. Astragalus is available as a tincture, capsules and in cream form.
Curcumin, the active ingredient in the traditional spice turmeric, can have a potent modulating effect on activating both innate and adaptive immune cells. Curcumin at low levels has been shown to enhance the production of antibodies. It has also been shown to reduce the production of pro-inflammatory cytokines, which may help prevent or attenuate damaging cytokine storms in response to infection.
Elderberry (Sambucus nigra) extract is high in vitamin C and contains phenolic compounds, particularly anthocyanins, which are potent modulators of the inflammatory immune response. Several studies have shown that elderberry supplements can reduce upper respiratory symptoms from viral infections and may help shorten the duration of cold and flu symptoms.
Regular ingestion of green tea or tea capsules helps reduce systemic inflammation by improving gut health. EGCG has a prebiotic activity that helps to strengthen gut barrier integrity, decrease LPS released from gram-negative bacteria in the gut, and regulate the production of intestinal tight junction proteins such as zonulin.
Various medicinal mushrooms have long been used in traditional Asian herbal medicine. Most research on these fungi has been on their value as adjunctive treatments that work by stimulating the body’s immune defenses. The most active medicinal mushrooms for immune support include chaga (Inonotus obliquus), cordyceps (Ophiocordyceps sinensis), lion’s mane (Hericium erinaceus), maitake (Grifola frondosa), oyster (Pleurotus sp.), reishi (Ganoderma lingzhi), shiitake (Lentinula edodes), and turkey tail (Coriolus versicolor).
We will be closed to celebrate this beautiful holiday with family and friends. We will reopen on Wednesday December 27.
Inflammation is your body’s normal response to injury or attack. Let’s say you cut your finger. Your immune system is immediately triggered to fight off any dangerous germs that may have entered through the cut. Or let’s say you sprained your ankle. Your immune system is immediately triggered to deal with the internal damage. White blood cells pour into the area to kill off germs and remove debris; chemical signals tell your body to activate other defenses, like making your blood clot faster. After a while, your immune system has pretty much done its job, and the inflammation gradually goes away. But what happens when you’re constantly exposed to attack just from the environment around you? From your diet? From having a chronic condition or infection? You’re inflamed all the time—your body is on fire. Inflammation is harming you from the inside out—and putting out the flames also has to happen from the inside out.
Glutathione facts:
1. Glutathione is an important antioxidant in the body that helps protect cells from damage caused by free radicals. It is found in almost every cell and is composed of three amino acids: cysteine, glutamic acid, and glycine.
2. Glutathione plays a role in detoxifying heavy metals, carcinogens, and other toxic compounds, and helps regulate the immune system. Studies have also suggested a connection between glutathione levels and longevity.
3. Plants also produce this powerful antioxidant to protect themselves from stressors such as intense sunlight or extreme temperatures. As a result, some fruits and vegetables are good sources of dietary glutathione.
4. Low levels of glutathione have been linked to a range of health conditions such as fatigue, Alzheimer’s disease, Parkinson’s disease, asthma, and certain cancers. Increasing glutathione levels may help prevent or improve these health issues.
5. Glutathione is essential for healthy skin, as it helps protect the skin from ultraviolet radiation and oxidative stress. As a result, some skincare products contain ingredients that can boost its levels in the body.

Great info! Learned something new.
While supplements can be helpful in controlling your cholesterol, they’re most beneficial when used to augment the combined efforts of eating a low-carb diet and getting regular exercise. Your good health — and its longevity in the future — depends on the good habits you form today.
