Tonight, eight of our MFA students present works they have created during their time in the MFA program.
Doors Open at 7:00pm, show starts at 7:30pm at LeFevre Theatre Saint Marys College of California.

Tomorrow, Friday June 21st the Saint Mary's College MFA in Dance presents Eight Echoes, a showing of works in progress by current students including Bobi Lott, Karishma Sharma, Veronica Silk, Suzanne Guyot-Rice, Marcella Torres-Sanchez, Jessica McNely, Jennifer McClary and Gwendolyn Benitez.
Ticket's are free, show starts at 7:30pm.

Saint Mary's MFA in Dance Present's the Thesis Performances of Cohort 9, including work by Nefertiti Altan, Carrie Walpole, Krista Langford, Imani Teague, Elena Rezai and Isabelle Armstrong.
Save the dates of June 7th and 8th at 7:30pm for our first weekend of shows.

Each show will be followed by a 15-30 minute panel with some of the choreographers.

A two weekend series of performances featuring the works of 11 graduating members of the 2023 cohort.

Director of the MFA Rogelio Lopez and Faculty Member Andrew Merrell will be performing this weekend in Drifter!
Drifter is a full evening dance consisting of four sections exploring both the hope and the demise of the 1960s. It investigates the ideology of the hippie generation and the increasing generation gap that signaled a divisive decade where feminism, civil rights, and social norms were challenged. Drifter navigates the decade including JFK’s assassination, the war in Vietnam, and Charles Manson. Choreographed by Keith Johnson/Dancers.
Drifter runs for approximately 60 minutes with no intermission.

Come learn from three of our current MFA in Dance students; Alexandra Tiscareno, Alondra Puentes Gallegos, and Lexis Greer at the BBQ+ Unruly Bodies Pedagogy Conference on March 2nd and 3rd.
Their presentations will discuss anti-fatness practices in the dance field, indigenous identity in a settler colony where dance is used as a healing tool, and personal experience surrounding multi-ethnic identities.
