It has been 20 years since our GLD exploration of leadership in the 21st century began. We continue to be inspired by our Alumni, their learning communities and the work they are doing in the world. Another Cohort completes their MA in Leadership - Congratulations Cohort 44!!

After over two decades of service at the Oakland Police Department, Master of Arts in Leadership alumnus Deputy Chief Nishant Joshi '16 will be sworn in as the new Chief of Police in Alameda.

We have made changes in our MA in Leadership program, to make it shorter, more cost-effective and stronger--integrating what we are learning from alumni and students--in service of leadership for the 21st Century. Our learners:

• Develop leadership practices that are values-based and service-oriented
• Build leadership capacities to respond to unfolding challenges and opportunities
• Engage in leadership across an organization, not just with designated leaders
• Create collaborative leadership practices aligned with personal values

The time is now to take action on your leadership if you would like to be a part of the January 2020 cohort.
