MUNSTER REPUBLICAN CENTRAL COMMITTEE
"Man is not free unless government is limited."
- Ronald Reagan
The continuing goal of the Munster Republican Central Committee is to establish an active and efficient electoral process for the Town of Munster and its residents.
đ¨SCOTUS allows Arizona to require proof of citizenship for state elections. This is a huge win for election integrity and for states like Indiana to have the ability to regulate its own elections. Through an amicus brief, we were proud to support this important case.
A big thank you to Garry Trawick and all our Republican friends in Lake Station! Garry made for us these awesome images!!
Munster has some really dynamic Republican candidates on the ballot this year, including Humberto Prado for State Senate! Itâs time for all of Lake County to be counted in Indianapolis and Humberto will deliver for us.

Can you believe this is California? Looks like they want cheap gas and low taxes too!
Our Republican in the street has been wondering, "Will Kamala Harris be bad for the economy?" Well, we need look no further than the "Democracy Dies in Darkness" Washington Post for the headline "When your opponent calls you âcommunist,â maybe donât propose price controls? Itâs hard to exaggerate how bad Kamala Harrisâs price-gouging proposal is."
Our Republican friends have reminded us that price controls lead to shortages, black markets and hoarding. Taking a trip down memory lane brings to mind the price controls of the 1970s and Soviet planning. Ouch!
Gotta watch⌠itâs an extremely insightful 2 minutes.
Great day at the Lake County Fair⌠thanks to all the fans who waited in line to get photos with our favorite President. đşđ¸
We loved chatting with all of you!
Itâs time to get back to basics. Instead of dubious plans to reduce lanes or install chicanes, whoâs ready to fix some potholes? Focused on better road maintenance and repair, your Republican town council delivers their promises to you!
Letâs have some fun, can you guess which is the non-partisan group?
Answer: None. Theyâre all Democrats, but one group pretends to be non-partisan. For the Love of Munster, let's have some honesty.
A picture is worth a thousand words, but this one is not doing it justice! This display is MASSIVE! Go take a look! Itâs on Kennedy Avenue in Schererville.
As a retired police officer, Jim Lietz understands and supports public safety in Munster and he is committed to securing important funding from the state legislature to help our police officers. This fall, vote for Jim Lietz for state representative.
Great to see our local Steelworker are voting weird! Letâs bring back CHEAP GAS, LOW TAXES & WORLD PEACE for everyone!

Jim Lietz is our great candidate for Indiana State Representative District 12 and he has been door knocking in Munster. Jim is a retired police officer and understands our public safety concerns. He will support our Republican town council in Indianapolis.

Beware the incumbent who wonât debate or defend his record. A good public servant is eager to share what heâs done for his community. đ¤
Today, I've formally invited Mrvan for Congress to three debates, one in each county of our district, prior to the start of Early Voting. Voters deserve to hear where we stand on the issues facing our community and our country in this crucial election.

Lake County election officials receive national award for training modules
Lake County election officials receive national award for training modules "This project...has given us the opportunity to bring a new layer of transparency to the election process while improving the voting experience," said LeAnn Angerman.
At last nightâs Town Council Meeting, a handful of activists tried their best to convince elected officials and fellow attendees that last yearâs election didnât count. In addition to their efforts to rewrite history during public comments, they repeatedly disrupted the meeting with loud mocking and other ridiculously choreographed outbursts throughout the evening.
They seem to believe in their fantasy narrative. Last night, they demanded that we believe it too. One resident boldly stated he âis sure police and local hospitals would be supportive of the original Ridge Road project.â Another insisted that âRidge Road was not on the ballotâ⌠and then claimed that âonly 16% of voted against it (âitâ meaning the Ridge project, which would be those who voted Republican).â Yes, in case youâre wondering, thereâs a huge contradiction there.
The little group in matching shirts was led by a government agency employee involved with the project, who sent the attached letter to the Council before the meeting. When he took the mic Monday night, he strongly suggested, as he did in his letter, that there is no proof of safety concerns expressed by residents and experts. He also failed to show any evidence to support his argument.
Itâs hard to believe, but it seems like these folks were trying to do the old Jedi mind trick with us. Clearly, the Force is not strong with them.
For what itâs worth, Munsterâs 2023 election was an unprecedented demonstration of community engagement. We saw record voter turnout in a municipal election and Republicans earned the highest number of straight party votes in several election cycles. In fact, an average 66% of all voters in all races, voted Republican. The results show overwhelming support of the candidatesâ resident-centered platform. The featured policy position being NO LANE REDUCTION ON RIDGE.
With dozens of giant signs (attached) posted throughout town for months, literature hand delivered door-to-door by candidates, several town-wide mailers (attached), lengthy social media debate and 28 days of voting, one would think voters had ample opportunity to weigh in on this issue. The results certainly affirm a clear consensus⌠despite the babble of a few Jedi wannabes.
Unfortunately, our new Town Council has to deal with the ongoing clownish antics of a few who want a do-over of the 2023 election because their side didnât win. It is evident that they will manufacture bogus facts and distract from real business until they get their way.
Thank you to our Town Council for showing this little mob the respect that they sorely failed to show to you. Be assured, Munster appreciates the job you are doing on our behalf.

Good afternoon Munster⌠does anyone remember this? Itâs hard to believe it's still happening!
Last year, we all viewed âWhatâs Up Munster?â as a good place to discuss town issues and hear from the candidates running for office. Sadly, we quickly discovered the groupâs administrators are liberal political activists, who allowed only Democrat candidates to post without restrictions, while the Republican candidates were heavily scrutinized and in some cases, outright censored. When a number of Munster voters and town employees reached out to us to report that they too, had been cancelled by "WUM" for supporting a Republican or having the audacity to question a Democrat, we spoke up to find out why. The "WUM" admins said the profiles were fake. We offered to help them identify these real residents, assuming this wasn't being done deliberately. To date, the admins of âWUMâ have expressed no interest in un-cancelling any of those very real residents, nor will they accept our assistance. Perhaps it was deliberate after all.
Despite the best efforts of the "speech police", an unprecedented 64% of voters elected the entire slate of Munster Republican candidates to lead the town in 2024.
After the 2023 election, the speech police at âWUMâ posted new guidelines to justify/clarify what they want and donât want to see discussed in their group (see photo). Neither the admins nor Democrat political operatives comply with their own written rules. Further, the new rules contradict some of the previous guidelines and rules the administrators still have posted in the âAboutâ section (see photo) of the groupâs page. After more concerned residents called out the admins (again) on their flagrant ârules for thee, but not for meâ approach to oversight, we all hoped the speech police would start to police themselves. They have not. Frankly, why should they? They seem to have created a bit of a social media monopoly in Munster. It seems the same handful of people control the groups called âMunster Safe Neighborhoodsâ, âMunster Recommendsâ, âMunster, IN Sustainable & Greenâ, âMunster Lifeâ and "For the Love of Munster" as well.
If youâre seeing a pattern forming here, youâre not alone. (cue the Darth Vader music)
Now that theyâve amassed an abundance of control over our social media outlets here in Munster, these censors/political operatives have decided to stand on the throats of your new elected officials. Currently, social media posts issued by ELECTED TOWN LEADERS, which inform the public about policy changes, public safety initiatives, etc. are now being held in limbo with no explanation given (see photo).
Remember, there is nothing wholesome or reasonable about those who suppress one side of a conversation. Those who censor our elected officials are an affront to every resident and business owner who might be impacted by the information that's been sequestered. In fact, given the lengthy list of don'ts on the list of acceptable content, it seems as if the speech police don't want any of us to say much of anything. Maybe they just want to do all the talking themselves, while the rest of us just watch...?
No one has the right to decide what you can or cannot hear or say⌠except you. The U.S. Constitution guarantees it.
And... if you care about accurate information about your hometown... please don't rely on WUM or its sister-sites to get it.
