This morning the Rockland County EMS Academy EMT Class held their MCI drill where they were tasked with appropriately triaging multiple patients. This drill wouldn’t be complete without a special visit from Hackensack Meridian Health AirMed-1! We wish our 7 members in the class the best of luck on their practical exam next week!!
Last night we held our 2024 Installation of Officers Dinner Dance! Congratulations to all members who received awards and best of luck to all of our incoming officers. A big thank you to our friends at South Orangetown Ambulance Corps and William Paul Faist Volunteer Ambulance Corps for covering us throughout the night so our members could enjoy a well deserved night off!

Yesterday morning we partnered with the Town of Clarkstown, Clarkstown Police Department, Rockland Paramedic Services, Nanuet Fire Department, Rockland County District Attorney's Office, Nanuet Union Free School District, Larisa Karassik Foundation, and Michael J. Higgins Funeral Service, Inc. to participate in a mock DWI accident demonstration for Nanuet HS seniors. We are currently in the time period know as the 100 deadliest days for teen drivers, which occur between Memorial Day and Labor Day. Approximately 28 people die per day as a result of impaired driving, and this demonstration served as a stark reminder of the devastating consequences of drinking and driving. Saving lives, preventing tragedies, and protecting our community is everyone’s responsibility.
**All victims are actors from the Nanuet EMS Youth Corps. Division.**
Congratulations to all of our members who recently graduated from college - Lauren Hahnenfeld, Jacob Abraham, Carsen Mansfield and Tara Bertolino!! We wish you the best in all your future endeavors and thank you for your continued service to Nanuet EMS!
This morning just after 6am, Nanuet EMS and Rockland Paramedic Services Medic 5 were dispatched to the Palisades Parkway Northbound at Exit 9W for a motor vehicle accident with reported ejection and extrication.
