The majority of my combined 30 years professional experience (military and law enforcement) was spent in specialized assignments where operations would transition from low visibility reconnaissance/intelligence gathering to dynamic/deliberate direct-actions on the objective.

Our LV-DEW workshops distill over 4 decades of Filipino Martial Arts (FMA), Japanese, Chinese, & Indonesian contact weapons (edged/impact) through, among other things, my 3 decades of professional operational experience where I brought "guns, knives, impact tools, & empty hands" as options to the fight...

Things you will learn include (but not limited to):

- Low visibility weapon carry;
- Low visibility covert weapon draws;
- Low visibility dynamic draws;
- Situational Awareness, De-escalation, & Avoidance / OODA Loop;
- Defining the fighting knife vs utility knife;
- Reverse grip vs forward grip (how/when/why);
- Counter-offensive template;
- Defensive template; &
- Fighting drills vs "fencing drills"

Some LV-DEW workshops will dovetail with our FCP (Fi****ms-Combatives Program) while others will be combined with our empty hands program or taught as stand alone modules.

All LV-DEW workshops will include the option for students to purchase our recommended training blades, carry/fighting blades, and sheath system (from ).

While the training is avaliable to anyone interested in improving their personal defense capacity, based on the nature of the information presented in LV-DEW, any non-Academy students will require a brief interview prior to registration.

Christmas-New Years Training Pause: The Academy's final class for 2023 will be Wednesday December 20, 2023; the Academy will be closed following that date in observance of Christmas and the New Year's holiday. In addition, there will be some renovations taking place within the Academy. Training will resume on Monday January 8, 2024.
