Alexander Technique Workshop Tomorrow (Monday 3/24) 4pm Koten Chapel. It’s for one of our piano classes, but anyone who’s interested in body awareness could totally benefit from this session as well.

What is the Alexander Technique? It is a way of learning to find more ease by undoing your habitual tensions. It isn’t a discipline or a set of exercises. It also isn’t something you have done to you. By participating in a lesson, you are learning to think in activity and can begin to change your habits. The Alexander Technique can help you to improve your level of comfort and efficiency in whatever activities you are already doing.

Chair of DuPage County Board, Deborah Conroy presented a proclamation Tuesday to Dr. Larry Van Oyen, Steve Yee, and Carolyn Derango recognizing the North Central Concert Winds Ensemble and their Chords for Kids concert for children with special needs. The concert encourages children to be themselves at a concert, allowing parents not to worry about typical concert etiquette, which also helps to foster an environment where every child can feel valued, respected, and empowered to thrive. A little bit of a rough start, but our marching band made it to Salem Virginia and back! (Part 1) It was a tough loss to swallow, but we definitely had a great time being there to support the football team. Special thanks to and GP for everything you’ve done for us.
