What sort of challenging student behaviors are seeing in their , what’s causing them, and how can an approach help educators to address them?
Invo’s Stringer and Walker provide insights to these questions and more in a recent interview with Education Week Market Brief’s Kate Fittes. The two discuss how Applied Behavior Analysis can enable educators to set up their classrooms and instruction to manage students’ behaviors – reinforcing positive behaviors and intervening on others.
“We’re just trying to help kids feel comfortable sitting in their seat so that they can benefit from the regular academic instruction that’s taking place,” Matt said. “When a child is not even comfortable being in that classroom, being in their seat, no matter how much more additional academic support you’re getting, it’s not going to change their performance.”

REMEMBER KINDNESS MATTERS.
Did you know October was first declared as National Bullying Prevention Month in 2006? Since then, October has been a time to recognize and raise awareness on bullying and its devastating effects on children and families such as school avoidance, loss of self-esteem, increased anxiety, and depression. No child should ever experience bullying.
Invo Healthcare behavioral health therapists support bullying prevention and offer strategies to cope with bullying so our students and their families learn inclusion and acceptance.

Our Story
Positive Behavioral Connections is dedicated to serving children with autism spectrum disorders and their families in areas that have the most influence on day-to-day living – specifically, learning, language and behavior. We focus exclusively on scientifically-validated applied behavior analysis (ABA) techniques delivered by highly-trained Board Certified Behavior Analysts (BCBAs).
We provide our ABA services primarily to children ages 18 months to 12 years, for families residing in the western suburbs of Chicago, including Naperville, Wheaton, Downers Grove and surrounding areas.
We understand that when your child has experienced developmental delays, time is precious. And we believe that combining regular treatment supervision from our behavior analysts with frequent progress assessments and consistent communication with you and your family members will have the biggest impact on your child‘s success.
Most importantly, we recognize that every child is an individual, with unique needs and circumstances. We also recognize that you and your family have your own priorities, and we work closely with you to identify your goals and tailor a behavioral therapy program to meet your child’s and your family’s specific needs.
