Do you or someone you know have an incoming kindergartener going to Peterson? A few moms have planned a kindergarten play date for next Monday, July 29th from 5:30p-7pm. Come let the kids play and get to know the other parents. We are meeting at the Ashwood Park playground so come at any time. Hope to see you there!

Join children and adults around the world to celebrate the benefits of bicycling and walking. The event promotes walking and bicycling for several reasons:
✔️physical activity
✔️teaching safe pedestrian and bicycling skills to children
✔️awareness of how walkable and bikeable a community is and where improvements can be made
✔️concern for the environment
✔️reducing traffic congestion, pollution and speed near schools
✔️sharing time with community leaders, parents and children

Teacher Appreciation Week is next week!! We will celebrate all staff from May 6th-10th. The PTA will be bringing in lunch and we will have snacks available in the staff lounge AND a gift card raffle! Peterson families! Join us at Peterson School Garden Grand Opening on Friday, May 10th from 4:15-5:15pm (weather dependent) at Peterson Elementary. We will have an ice cream social to celebrate the grand opening of our school garden. Students will showcase their herbs, vegetables and flowers. We will also have several special guests and community partners such as the Conservation Foundation, The Growing Place, and more! This event is for the whole family and we hope to see you there! 🐾Do you like to run? Walk? Or maybe you just like to support our school by raising money?! Join TEAM IPEF for the Endeavor Health Naperville Half Marathon, 10k, or 5k is open! 🐾

TEAM Indian Prairie Education Foundation (IPEF) is a group of charity walkers/runners who will participate in the Endeavor Health Naperville Half Marathon, 10K, and 5K to raise money for their schools and for district-wide programs that benefit the students and staff of IPSD 204. This is the Indian Prairie Educational Foundation's largest annual fundraising event, bringing together students, parents, teachers, staff, and our entire community.

Each walker/runner pledges to raise at least $204 ($25 for students who register with a parent) – half supports IPEF programs and half is donated to the runner’s school of choice.

Since 2014, TEAM IPEF’s 2,872 charity heroes have raised over $1.2 million to support programs such as

🐾 Free Student Heart Screenings
🐾Teacher Grants
🐾Robotics Clubs
🐾The Fine Arts Festival
🐾Student Mental Health Supports
🐾Essential Services for our Homeless and Low-Income Students

Team IPEF 2024 There is a $204 fundraising commitment for each adult individual, and a $25 fundraising commitment for each student who runs with an adult.

Tickets to the Scullen Middle School musical of W***y Wonka go on sale on Monday morning. This is a great way to get a sneak peek at the middle school and a fun family night out! The show is about an hour 15 minutes.

The Indian Prairie Parents’ Council (IPPC) is partnering with local businesses to recognize District 204 teachers and staff members for Teacher Appreciation Week, May 6 - 10.

Parents and community members can honor school personnel who have made a difference this year, while also supporting students in need. Each $25 donation allows you to honor your favorite teacher with a heartfelt note and a $20 gift card that you select from the list provided. Your note and gift card will be delivered to your teacher during Teacher Appreciation Week. $5 of your donation will help support the IPPC annual school supply drive to assist students in need.

Orders are being taken now through April 19, 2024.

There is no limit on the number of teachers or staff members you can recognize. Monetary donations to the school supply drive can also be made in honor of a teacher or staff member.
