Passover cleaning or spring cleaning 🌸🧹- either way, did you know that cleaning and purging is specifically important this time of of year?
In Chinese Medicine Spring is associated with the Wood element and the Liver organ system. This system controls flow, change and growth through the body.
During spring, there’s a focus on renewal, growth, and cleansing!
(Sounds familiar…)
Just as we declutter our physical space during spring cleaning, Chinese medicine suggests detoxifying and rejuvenating the body to support its natural rhythms and promote overall health and well-being.
This can involve dietary adjustments, herbal remedies, acupuncture, and practices like qigong or tai chi to harmonize the body’s energy with the changing season 💫

I can’t believe it’s been almost 5 years since I started this practice. When I first started Devon Greenbaum Acupuncture, I was a ‘one-woman show.’ With lots of trial and error, I watched my practice grow and change throughout the years. After a pandemic and two babies, I’ve learned to roll with the punches, trust the process, and learn as much as possible through each new experience. And now it’s time for a new chapter of DGA! Can’t wait to share the big news...
Happy Thanksgiving from your favorite duo 🍁🦃
May your holiday be a feast of happiness, laughter, and cherished moments. Cheers to family, friends, and full bellies! 🧡

🌸 Announcement: Maternity Leave 🌸
Dear valued patients and friends,
Today, I have some exciting news to share with you all. As my due date is rapidly approaching, I am preparing to embark on a wonderful journey—the arrival of my little bundle of joy! 🤱👶
With mixed emotions, I would like to inform you that I will be taking a well-deserved maternity leave from my acupuncture practice. It is incredibly difficult to step away from my passion and the wonderful individuals I have had the privilege of treating. However, the joy of spending quality time with my family and nurturing the precious bond with my newborn outweighs everything else.
During my absence, my trusted colleague, Dayna, will be holding down the fort at the office. She is an absolute gem, known for her expertise, compassion, and commitment to providing exceptional care.
While I'll be away, please don't hesitate to reach out to Dayna with any questions, concerns, or appointment needs.
I would like to express my deepest gratitude for your unwavering trust and support throughout this journey. Your understanding during my absence means the world to me.
Wishing you all health, happiness, and an abundance of positive energy during my absence. Thank you once again for your understanding and continued support.
With love and gratitude,
Devon
☀️🍹The summer has just summer begun and I’ve already seen lots of patient come in first thing Monday morning looking for a little detox from the weekend 😎
✨ Did you know that acupuncture can be a great way to support your body's natural detoxification process?
Here's how it works:
🌱 Enhances Circulation: Acupuncture helps improve blood circulation, allowing your organs to receive the oxygen and nutrients they need for optimal function. This increased circulation aids in flushing out toxins accumulated from excess alcohol and unhealthy food choices.
🌱 Supports Liver Function: Your liver plays a crucial role in detoxification, and acupuncture can give it a helping hand. By targeting specific acupuncture points, this ancient practice can help improve liver function, assisting in the breakdown and elimination of toxins.
🌱 Balances Digestion: Overindulgence can sometimes disrupt your digestive system, leaving you feeling bloated and sluggish. Acupuncture can help restore balance by promoting healthy digestion, reducing bloating, and supporting your body in efficiently eliminating waste.
🌱 Reduces Stress: The aftermath of a long weekend can leave you feeling not just physically drained but also mentally and emotionally overwhelmed. Acupuncture is known for its relaxing and stress-reducing effects, helping you find your center again and facilitating the body's natural healing process.
💫 So, if you're looking to reset and revitalize after a weekend of indulgence, consider incorporating acupuncture into your routine. Not only will it support your body's detoxification process, but it can also leave you feeling rejuvenated, restored, and ready to take on the week ahead! 📅
✨ DIY time✨
Have you heard of the acupuncture point called yin tang?
It's a small spot located between the eyebrows, often called the "third eye" or "Hall of Impression" in Traditional Chinese Medicine.
So what does this point used for? 👀
🌟 Calming the mind and reducing stress
🌟 Relieving headaches and migraines
🌟 Improving sleep quality and quantity
🌟 Alleviating sinus congestion and allergies
🌟 Boosting mood
🌟 Enhancing intuition and spiritual awareness
The best part - it’s a great point for acupressure!!
To activate this point, you can gently massage it with your finger or apply a small, flat tool such as a gua sha or a flat jade stone.
(Of course, acupuncture and TCM are not one-size-fits-all, and you should always consult with a licensed practitioner before trying any new treatment)
But if you're curious about the yin tang point and its potential benefits, give it a try and see how it feels for you. Your third eye might thank you! 🙏🏼💫
☀️Who’s ready to show off their cupping marks in this weather?! 🎽
I always love turning my patients into walking advertisements for acupuncture and cupping
Wear them loud and proud 🔴🔴🔴
