Good Morning

Blessings for a Good Day to all my Hindu friends as you celebrate the Holi-Spring!

Reflection of the day:

“Below the layers of all the identities, roles and responsibilities you must carry out, (persona), there is someone who is suffering. Below the grandiosity, there is someone in deep pain. We see it in our culture — famous, successful and highly accomplished individuals turning away from life because the pain becomes unbearable.

We must own our suffering, but not allow ourselves to be imprisoned by it. I think there is liberation in facing and owning our suffering. Liberation and freedom to be a true human being, one who is equipped to experience our collective humanity”, Andreau Charles, Founder of ACW.

Happy New Year to everyone. It is my sincere prayer that 2021 brings with it clarity of purpose, hope and good life.

May you be guided by the religious, archetypal or spiritual faith of your choice.

May you embrace beauty, charity and compassion for yourself and the “Other” and, take responsibility for your physical, emotional, mental health and healing!
May you grow and mature into the best version of our human experience.

Blessings and good luck!

End of day reflections:

As I end my psychotherapy sessions today, I would like to offer you the following reminders:

"Be kind to yourself, everyone you meet has a really big problem he or she is dealing with. Accept the meaning, partiality, brokenness and wholeness of your life. It is yours. You are an individual soul who was gifted with the free will to experience your humanity.

Be reminded that this life, yes, your life, is about many things; you are allowed to experience pain, sadness, grief, hope, joy, rage, greed, hate, indifference, s*x, and s*xual ambiguity, tolerance, beauty, grandiosity and piety, spirit and soul making.

Live fully. To do otherwise is to offer all and sundry an open invitation to impose their will upon you.

Be gentle to yourself. Stop allowing others to impoverish, restrict or arrest your life (currencies) experiences.

Live your full life, embrace all of it" Andreau Charles, (9/1/2020).

Mourning is caused by the loss of an object or person who was carrying an important projected value. In order to withdraw projections and assimilate their content into one’s own personality, it is necessary to experience the loss of the projection as a prelude to rediscovering the content or value within. Therefore, mourners are fortunate because they are involved in a growth process. They will be comforted when the lost projected value has been recovered within the psyche, (Edinger, 1992).

As you reflect on your self-talk,

Practice the art of self-care.

I encourage you to shift the dialogue with your inner critic, by offering it a space to be heard, while maintaining a willingness to neutralize its power and negative influence over you.

Practice Acceptance of Your Emotional or Physical Pain The concept of accepting pain is one that is always a tough one to explain to people. Almost immediately their reaction is something like “What are you talking about? Why would I accept my pain and suffering?” Often people who have this reaction are confusing acceptance with

“Lament

No permanence is ours; we are a wave
That flows to fit whatever form it finds:
Through day or night, cathedral or the cave
We pass forever, craving form that binds.

Mold after mold we fill and never rest,
We find no home where joy or grief runs deep.
We move, we are the everlasting guest.
No field nor plow is ours; we do not reap.

What God would make of us remains unknown:
He plays; we are the clay to his desire.
Plastic and mute, we neither laugh nor groan;
He kneads, but never gives us to the fire.

To stiffen to stone, to persevere!
We long forever for the right to stay.
But all that ever stays with us is fear,
And we shall never rest upon our way.”
