Catholic Schools Week ended with a mass where we thanked God for the gift of education and all he has given to us. Then, students in Grades 7&8 discussed their plans for the future with the younger students. Our school was filled with aspiring doctors, nurses, trainers, animators, and more! We are blessed to have the Catholic Imagination manifested in so many ways at Ss. Joachim and Anne!
Kindergarten had an exciting day yesterday! They read the book "If You Give A Mouse A Cookie". The children had so much fun listening to the story and recalling all the events while remembering the sequencing of what comes next. They did crafts, made mouse ears and worked on educational activities. To finish the fun morning, they had a milk and cookies party!
Representatives from DeSales Media and The Tablet were welcomed to SsJA. They awarded our published student journalists and artists for their contributions to February’s edition of The Tablet Jr. We are so proud of their exquisite work!
On Tuesday, our creative 4th Graders demonstrated their incredible Roller Coaster Projects to other students and parents! The Catholic Imagination is being manifested in so many ways at SsJA during Catholic Schools Week!
Our students made cards for the children of St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital and each child donated $1 for the Loukoumi Foundation. We hope their messages and drawings can put smiles on many faces!

The Gospel Choir and many other students attended the 11:30 Mass yesterday to begin our celebration of Catholic Schools Week. The Gospel Choir’s performance, under the direction of Ms. Chere Dyal, was phenomenal! They were given a standing ovation and we are so proud of them. Watch one of their performances here!
Our Christmas Concert was a joyful celebration of the Birth of the Lord Jesus. Each class had spectacular performances. The entire school community was excited to gather in person for the first time since 2019 for this event.
Ss. Joachim and Anne School, who will soon be turning 99 years old, is dedicated to the Mission that every child should receive an education where Jesus is the reason for its existence.
Our students work to their maximum potential through rigor, relevance, intensity and creativity. Their ultimate goal is to be a valuable contributor of society and to love God above all and their neighbor as themselves.
Recently, we have welcomed five children from Ecuador. These children have an unbelievable story and journey, and we are blessed to have them as part of our family.
Please assist us to keep our students and help others to attend SsJA. God has "no hands but yours".

We were blessed to celebrate Mass with our alumni who support our school financially and prayerfully. May the Lord bestow blessings upon them all.
Our Walk-A-Thon was a spectacular day! Our students participated with great sportsmanship and received fantastic face paintings! We would like to thank all of the parents and relatives who came to cheer the children on and all of those who sponsored our students.

7th and 8th Grade students used their graphic design skills to reimagine book covers! 7th Grade chose from different genres and reimagined the front covers, while 8th Grade chose a genre or series to reimagine the front and back covers complete with their own summaries.

Our 8th Graders who received Confirmation and our 2nd and 3rd Graders who received First Holy Communion crowned the Blessed Mother today at the May Crowning.

Our 8th grade class went on a fantastic class trip with Flying Classroom last week. First, they went on a tour of the American Airpower Museum, where they learned about the many exhibits and history of World War II. Then, they had the amazing opportunity of meeting Captain Barrington Irving and exploring his plane.
Kindergarten Teachers make learning about our Earth fun! All students dressed up as a symbol representing our Earth. The children planted flowers, learned how to protect our Earth, along with adventures of space and the planets.
Kindergarten celebrated Read Across America Day by dressing as their favorite book characters and reading their favorite story books!
The students and faculty of SsJA School celebrated the 100th Day of School by dressing as 100 year olds!
Congratulations to our Students of the Month for Academics!
On February 4, our school was honored to welcome Bishop Brennan! Bishop Brennan enjoyed a morning full of prayer, song, dance, and learning. 8th Grade students met with the Bishop to discuss their future high school plans, careers, and vocations. Representatives from our classes demonstrated STEM projects and gifted the Bishop with cards and treasured mementos. The Bishop sang along with the Gospel Choir and clapped with our Praise Dancers! It was a wonderful day enjoyed by all.
