This is the first known video of the Amazon weasel, a rare small carnivore. It was filmed by a group of coffee producers in Bolivia, where the species hadn't been recorded before.

It's an example of the importance of citizen science to biodiversity knowledge, says Rob Wallace of WCS Bolivia. Bolivia is a recognized world leader in this area.

NYSERDA-funded New York Bight (NYB) passive acoustic monitoring project. We are monitoring for whale and ocean noise within the NYB offshore wind lease areas. What we learn will help with management decisions.

WCS and ICCN mourn the tragic loss of ecoguard Mr. Egide BILENGI LIFINDO.

Mr. BILENGI LIFINDO died while in service in the Okapi Wildlife Reserve in the Democratic Republic of the Congo during an attack perpetrated by unidentified armed persons.

Born on Nov. 10, 1983, he was married with two children. He was devoted to the conservation of Réserve de Faune à Okapis since joining ICCN in August 2019.
