This yearâs theme was âReducing, Reusing, and Recycling: How Do These Practices Impact upon the Quality of Our Environment?â Throughout the year, the young FALC scholars took a scientific journey to explore the impact of the three Rs on the quality of our planetâs environment, focusing on our air, land and water.

At a time when families continue to struggle with the economic challenges of raising and educating their children, 1199SEIU members can rely on the Child Care Funds to offer access to high quality, affordable programs and services for their children from birth to age 17* through child care benefits, information and referrals. Child Care Funds benefits encompass a wide array of programs and services, including day care, after school and summer day camp vouchers, Saturday cultural arts programs, holiday programs during school recesses, year-round teen academic programs and summer work internships (WorkForce 2000), SAT preparation, and quality pre-school education at our Future of America Learning Center.

The 1199SEIU/Employer Child Care Corporation (CCC) is a 501(c)3 non-profit organization founded in 1993 and dedicated to improving the quality of life of working families and communities. To help these families, the Corporation encourages the healthy development of children and youth by providing a high-quality educational environment in which they thrive during all stages of their development.
*The Joseph Tauber Scholarship Program, which is administered by the 1199SEIU/Employer Child Care Corporation, provides scholarships for college to eligible membersâ children until age 23.
