Cheon Il Guk Missionary Training is one of Generation Peace Academy's new modules focusing on witnessing and tribal messiahship overseas.
This is the official Generation Peace Academy Cheon Il Guk Missionary Training Facebook site! We will be periodically posting updates as they happen through blogs, photos, videos, testimonies, etc. This year GPA has responded to Rev. Hak Ja Han Moon's call for Missionaries from America to participate in outreach activities overseas. The Vision and Mission for the CIG Missionaries is to:

CIG x HUSA Kick-off Workshop 🤝
Together as missionary programs, the CIG and HUSA members gathered to kick off this year! Throughout the workshop, they bonded through outings and activities, learned more about the heart of a missionary, had a lively praise and worship session, and set determinations for the next part of their summer training.

Thailand mission overview (in photos & videos)
In the last few weeks of our mission in Thailand, we were filled with various experiences: running a smoothie stand at a local open-air market to support center finances, visiting villages to invite locals to a Blessing event, and helping Ms. Earth, an English professor, by aiding her students in their weekly English classes. It truly felt as if Surin SMART Youth Center was the center of providence in Thailand!
We also celebrated the national holiday Loy Krathong with our newfound university and workshop friends, partaking in its festivities, offering a krathong in prayer, and sharing delicious street food!
During our final days in Thailand, we held a Holy Blessing Ceremony for five couples and all attendees dressed beautifully to honor the couples' precious moment. God's warmth and love was palpable as the whole Surin community came together to celebrate a recommitment to their marriage, centered on true love and building God-centered families.
As we departed Thailand, we were sent off at the airport with many hugs, gifts, and tears. We are eager and excited to share our insights from this mission more deeply and are working to open the door for more young people to dedicate their mission time to Thailand in the future!
A week in Cambodia 🇰🇭
During our mission in Thailand, we also visited Cambodia and took time to understand the country's history, while supporting local activities. During our first sunrise there, we visited the famous Angkor Wat temple complex. For three days, we visited several universities, including the Royal University of Phnom Penh (RUPP) and BELTEI International University, and shared education on marriage and family values. At the Choeung Ek Genocidal Center, we learned about the painful history of Cambodia and offered our respect and prayers for its people. On our final day, we supported an event to celebrate International Food Day. With over 100 guests, the locals taught us their traditional customs and we all enjoyed eating food, singing, and dancing for hours!
Hello! It’s your friendly neighborhood 4th year missionaries from Thailand! 🐘
So far, we have been visiting the local university and creating relationships with the students, professors and dean there. We hosted and helped to support some YSP (Youth and Students for Peace) workshops at out center here in Surin, where high school and university students learned about family values and the importance of maintaining purity. While visiting several classes in the university, we’ve presented more about YSP and invited the students to attend upcoming workshops and events. We hope to establish a YSP club on campus with the support of our new YSP members!
Also in the past month, the five of us split up and were invited to stay in the homes of locals in nearby villages to really experience Thai culture and the heart of the people. We experienced harvesting rice, creating “holy desserts,” and teaching English— all while witnessing and creating relationships with the families we were staying with! We look forward to our Cambodia trip next week!

Hey! This is the Bay Area team reporting. 🫡
It’s been a month since we arrived, and our team’s got a lot of personality and a pretty good balance in synergy! We’re currently working with CARP Bay Area on the college campuses of Cal State East Bay and Chabot College. Throughout the weeks, our dear witnessing director, Markus Von Euw, has been giving us guidance in preparation to witness. On Thursdays, we’ve been joining the weekly club meetings of both campuses. We’ve also participated in a community service project of cleaning up the streets of Oakland. It’s really a blessing for us to be able to receive lots of support from the Bay Area Family Church community. We even had dinners that were prepared by local moms! With gratitude, we’ll do our best to expand the foundation of the Bay Area family!
Greetings from the Los Angeles team! 🌸
Even though we have different types of personalities, we have a big heart to serve and invest in our mission! In LA, we’re so blessed to work with and receive guidance from Naoko Hiraki, the director of CARP L.A., as well as working with CARP and Korean international students at Pasadena City College (PCC)! It’s been a great experience studying and sharing the Divine Principle with PCC students and bond with them. Every Tuesday, we hold a CARP talk where we cover a topic about the purpose of the principles and have meaningful discussions in groups. We’ve covered topics such as “What is joy?” and “Love and Beauty”. It’s been a great experience so far and we look forward to continuing to contribute towards creating a heavenly culture in the city of Los Angeles California!
Back in the east coast, we've been blessed to learn and grow alongside CARP NJ and UPA students! 🍂
It's been very eventful supporting CARP activities; engaging with the local community members; and enjoying plenty of time for fun, games, and dancing!
Catch us over in Shine City! ✨️
Over this month we've also had the honor to work with the CARP Las Vegas family and community!
Heyo! CIGs are collaborating with various CARP chapters across the United States during our fall training! 🙌
First up, we are with CARP DMV !! It’s been a blast so far living with them at the CARP house! We were welcomed by a warm and loving group of many GPA alumni and students from across the U.S.! We’ve also been enjoying making new friends at the Montgomery College and University of Maryland campuses close by!
Every Tuesday, CARP holds an event called "Momentum" at Montgomery College. Students and even professors can participate in activities and discussions and listen to an awesome talk given by CARP or CIG members! We've presented on topics such as “seeing the value in others”! We've also held a game night as well as a lively culture night where we dove into each others' cultures and had potluck dinner, music, and dancing!
