Grounded in the appearance of the risen Christ to Thomas (John 20:19-31), we'll explore a view of resurrection—and the resurrected body—that theologically affirms transgender and nonbinary experience.
Come read this well-worn story with fresh eyes and consider a new way to see Christ in all persons.

A behind-the-scenes peek at prepping the sanctuary for Easter. Thank you to everyone who pitched in to make our space so beautiful!
On Easter Sunday, the Rev. Canon John E. Denaro preached on the inspiring witness of the three women who went to Jesus' tomb and experienced firsthand, in terror and amazement, the power of divine intervention: "Our faith keeps us believing in things unseen, and in the possibility—even the likelihood—of divine intervention along the way, sufficient to counter our despair, frustration, and uncertainty ..."

Happy Easter from St. Ann’s clergy!
On Maundy Thursday, foot washing and stripping of the altar. On Good Friday, Stations of the Cross and a sung Passion. On Holy Saturday, the dim quiet of the tomb ...
Tomorrow, the dawn breaks anew. Join us for Easter Sunday services. ✝
✤ Family Church—9:30am followed by Easter Egg Hunt
✤ Festival Eucharist—11:15am with Choir and Brass
Holy Week started with the jubilation of Palm Sunday—shouts of "Hosanna!" and waving palms. Parishioner Benjamin Graham took these wonderful photos of our procession around the block, where we reenacted the joy of those who welcomed Jesus into Jerusalem on the humble back of a c**t.
We now move into the Easter Triduum: the three days of Maundy Thursday, Good Friday, and Holy Saturday that prepare us for Easter Sunday. It is the darkness before the dawn, a tender time that breaks open our hearts with love and awe and grief.
All are welcome to join us for Holy Week and Easter services.
✤ Maundy Thursday, March 28: Holy Eucharist with Footwashing—6:00pm
✤ Good Friday, March 29: Stations of the Cross—12:00pm, Family Service—3:00pm, Liturgy with Sung Passion—6:00pm
✤ Easter Sunday, March 31: Family Church—9:30am followed by Easter Egg Hunt, Festival Eucharist—11:15am with Choir and Brass
"Many people spread their cloaks on the road, and others spread leafy branches that they had cut in the fields. Then those who went ahead and those who followed were shouting, 'Hosanna! Blessed is the one who comes in the name of the Lord!'" – Mark 11:8-10

"Come, you who have much faith and you who have little; you who have been here often and you who have not been for a long time or ever before; you who have tried to follow and you who have failed. Come, not because the Church invites you: It is Christ who invites you to be known and fed here." – Iona Invitation
Yesterday the Rev. Canon Marie A. Tatro preached on the call to confront powers and principalities as followers of Jesus: "We are the inheritors of a tradition of faithful resistance to the powers of this world."

Thank you to the 30+ people who came to yesterday’s screening of the documentary film The Philadelphia 11. We were especially delighted to host folks from the wider community. A special shoutout to Seendy, who brought her old fashioned popcorn cart and made us all tasty snacks!
The film was a powerful reminder of the risk and courage required to make lasting change. We’re immensely grateful to the first eleven women ordained Episcopal priests in an act of civil disobedience. Their example inspires us to continuing working for greater equity, inclusion, and belonging of all people in the Episcopal Church.
"The hour has come for the Son of Man to be glorified. Very truly, I tell you, unless a grain of wheat falls into the earth and dies, it remains just a single grain; but if it dies, it bears much fruit." – John 12:23-24
