Who do you know that didn’t let the circumstances define their success? Nominate a colleague with less than 15 years of experience for the highly esteemed PRMuseum NextGen award, a new award program in partnership with PRWeek, for a chance to win a full year of one-on-one mentorship with some of the world's top leaders in PR, including Jano Cabrera, Bill Imada, Torod B. Neptune, Bea Perez, and Sally Susman.
Nominate here: https://www.prmuseum.org/nextgen-awards-2024
The PRMuseum and PRWeek have announced the first-ever awards program for pros with 15 years or less in the business. They will be competing for a chance to win one full year of mentorship from some of the world's top leaders in PR: Jano Cabrera, Bill Imada, Torod B. Neptune, Bea Perez, and Sally Susman.
And unlike other awards programs, the PRMuseum NextGen competition will judge nominees not on business success, but on character traits such as leadership, courage, and innovation.
The awards will be named after PR trailblazers —such as Bayard Rustin, Inez Kaiser, Irene Hirano Inouye, Fernando Valverde Lara, and Wilma Mankiller— who, because of their race or gender, have remained unrecognized by the field.
Applicants will be chosen solely based on how well they have exemplified the traits of these pioneers and need not be of the same background as those for whom their award is named.

"Some of the tension we’re seeing with our corporate partners is really about lifting up and continuing to support their employee resource groups (ERGs), but at the same time, not wanting to publicly be identified with supporting these sort of endeavors,” Perez said.

Only a fraction of 500 CEOs have come out as LGBTQ+. They include Tim Cook, CEO of Apple; Jim Fitterling, CEO of Dow; Jeffrey Gennette, CEO of Macy's; and Beth Ford, CEO of Land O'Lakes.
