We’re delighted to see our Marfa residence grace the cover of January’s Architectural Digest. Annabelle Selldorf notes, “The architectural vocabulary is a simple series of volumes that speak to one another but feel distinct from the old architecture.” The project included updates to a 1920s Spanish Colonial Revival house designed by Henry Charles Trost, a pair of ground-up buildings for the family’s guest house and garage/gym, and an entertaining pavilion. Completed in collaboration with landscape designer Madison Cox and interiors by Jeffrey Bilhuber. Written by Sam Cochran and photographed by William Jess Laird with styling by Colin King.

52 Walker, David Zwirner's new Tribeca exhibition space led by director Ebony L. Haynes, opened on October 28 with Kandis Williams’s “A Line,” an exhibition of video, collages and sculpture. The gallery, with original cast-iron columns, wood floor and tin ceiling, evokes the roughhewn, loft galleries in SoHo during the 70s and 80s. The gallery is two full floors, with the exhibition area on the ground level of the five-story, landmark building. Windows on the north and south allow natural light into the lower level, which consists of private offices and viewing rooms. The exhibition marks Williams’s first solo presentation in New York.

The Shaker Museum, an adaptive reuse and expansion of a historic building in Chatham, New York, is featured in The New York Times Art & Design section. Written by Patricia Leigh Brown, the article has one of the first published renderings of the collection's new home, which will include permanent and rotating exhibition spaces, a conservation and storage facility, a public reading room, and a community space. The landscape, designed by Nelson Byrd Woltz Landscape Architects, has small concentric circles based on Shaker dances and will connect the community to a Shaker-inspired garden with medicinal and native plants. Other renderings and drawings are on display now in the pop-up exhibition “The Future is a Gift” in Chatham, where you can also see objects from Shaker Museum's collection.
