This past Saturday, while helping out at the I.S. 24's annual Health Fair, members of conducted their own blackout mask drill using an obstacle course setup by the advisors. The explorers navigate the course using only their hands/feet and communication skills. It was a great learning experience for group.

The explorers and members of Metropolitan Fire Association participated in I.S. 24's annual Health Fair. This year, our members setup a blackout mask obstacle course. Students had to rely on their sense of touch and navigate themselves out of the course while not having the ability to see.

Over the last several days, Staten Island has been battered with several inches of rain which has caused catch basins to fill with debris and prevents the water from draining properly. Members of took time to clean out several catch basins on roads around our quarters.

We have a crew working tonight and they're ready/able to help the Staten Island community. Here, our members are clearing a storm drain that was clogged with debris.

Our 2023 run has officially come to an end. Santa is on his way back to the North Pole. He appreciated our members and those from North Shore Rescue Squad who escorted him around Staten Island tonight. If you have any pictures of , please share them with us via our various social media platforms. We hope to see everyone again next year.

Live! is still making his rounds. Only a few more stops to go before he must head back to the North Pole to prepare for Christmas.
