Have you ever been in a toxic, unhealthy love relationship, one where someone didn't love you for you and felt the need to change you? This toxic love relationship is the same dynamic we have when on most diets. They use words like the fix, reshape, enhance, improve Anti-Cellulite, Anti-Age. Basically, Anti-You! They want us to focus on fixing what we don't love about ourselves instead of improving what we do love about ourselves.
The underlying message is that you are not good enough as you are right now. Sound familiar? It's time to let go. Release yourself from the grip of diet culture and start loving yourself. Quit falling in love with no good diet partners. It's time to liberate your mind, and let's get back to self-love. Start loving yourself now, not later. Not when you reach some goal, not when somebody tells you it's OK. Right now, at this moment, look at yourself. Think about yourself, find the good qualities that are in you and fall in love with yourself all over again so you can see your highest self, accept your highest self, and then become your highest self.

Developing replacement behavior or coping mechanisms is essential to handling your stress. Try this powerful stress-relieving breathing exercise. This simple breathing exercise is called Vagus breathing and is proven to turn off your physical responses to stress - aka the Fight or Flight response. It works by stimulating the Vagus nerve which runs from your brain through your heart, lungs, and abdomen. Find a comfortable position and try this exercise.
Take a five-second deep breath in through your nose, filling up your belly, then diaphragm and chest. Hold your breath for a second. Now breathe out of your mouth for five seconds, pushing the air out of your chest, and belly. Hold for one second and repeat this sequence five times. Feel the stress melt away.

What is your big why? As we go into the New Year think about your why! What is it that motivates you?
If you're not sure take a moment and think about what motivates you. Identify it because this is something only you can answer. What motivates me may not necessarily motivate YOU. Take the time to find your big why. This is what will help you live a lifetime of wellness and health so you can thrive, be well, fulfilled and happy.
Not being present robs us of the beauty of engaging in life experiences on a daily basis.
It's very difficult to participate and be effective in this day and age and yet also be present in the moment. That's why it's important to practice being present and to be mindful of when you're not being present today. Take a moment to sit down for five, ten minutes. It can be in your car, can be at home, whatever. Just take that time to slow down.
Life is a gift. Being present is the key to enjoying the beauty of each moment so stop and breathe in the moment, slow down, and engage with life in a meaningful way.
In order to be YOUR most productive self, we have to cut out what isn't important to us. And that means YOU can't say yes to everything! Stop and ask yourself is this my burden to carry? You're not being selfish or lazy or putting it on someone else, but sometimes the burden isn't yours to carry and sometimes we just need to let go. Learn to say no. No is precious. No will save you energy. No will save you time. No will help you be productive!
This guided meditation is all about accepting and loving who you are and have been. Accept love and all that you will become. This is the I am movement. It's time for us to let the diet die peacefully. Let's say our last goodbyes. We need an honest, passionate, forceful response if we are going to wake up.
We need to get angry at how diets have failed us. We need a revolution to push back so hard that it causes everybody to re-examine diet dogma and evolve.
The word diet comes from the Greek word Diaita meaning a way of living, a whole life philosophy, a belief system, a faith. In a world obsessed with weight-loss diets, calorie counting, and the size of clothes, taking a different approach is important to me. One that will bring more freedom, more truth, and bring you closer to who you are at your core, within your body. We need to get back to the true sense of the word diet.
We need to trust and believe what we already instinctively know, that there is a better way, a better path that will bring more freedom, more truth, and bring you closer to who you are at your core, within your body. Oh, and along the way, you'll probably get rid of a few pounds. Let's get ready for the revolution. Let's get ready for the new path and let's get ready for your new wellness journey.

We all have different relationships to food and that's okay! But it's important to figure out what your unique relationship with food is and develop strategies to control and combat it. In this video, I break down the different types of eaters and explain strategies so you can be a healthier, more aware eater.
You are ready for this. Celebrate the journey you’ve been on and the choices you’ve made that got you to this point. Reflect on those thoughts and let them motivate you. You don’t need to change everything overnight—this is a journey, but YOU already have what it takes—you have succeeded before.
