This poem I wrote was inspired by a weekend for “From Fear to Trust: A Deep Rest Retreat” led by the incredible whose guidance, wisdom, music and singing were exactly pitch perfect.
We practiced softening into rest and trusting ourselves, slowing down, and listening to our bodies and giving ourselves the space and permission to truly and deeply rest, something I have not historically been “good” at…even that makes me laugh to realize I ascribed a value to my competency around rest, why should I have to be good at resting to deserve it!!?? And why do I think I’m not good at it to begin with? There’s so much to unpack around our relationship to rest.
I’ve held so much fear and judgment about rest. I don’t deserve it. I’m lazy. It’s not productive. I don’t know how to rest. And on and on.
And yet rest is a radical act of self-love and self-worth and an act of resistance against the patriarchy. If you haven’t listened to the work of Tricia Hersey I highly recommend you do - it might just change your life and empower you to start resting, or resting more if you already do!

Dear Frequency Community,
I share this message with a deep sense of gratitude for where we are, and an openness about what will unfold next. Since its inception, Frequency and its immersive breathwork experience have offered a source of healing and light for those in need and it has been my honor to serve this community.
Transformation is deeply ingrained in the work we do, and is also part of our natural evolution as a company. Going forward, we will be adjusting our offering to allow for a condensed set of weekly classes which will allow the company to better position itself for the future. We have determined that the current schedule of classes is not the most sustainable and decided to adjust our in-person schedule for the foreseeable future while offering a small set of weekly in-person classes, maintaining our digital offering and continuing with private events.
Please find our adjusted schedule below:
• New In-Person Schedule:
As of this Saturday October 1st, we will be transitioning away from the current schedule into three classes per week. We are planning to keep this condensed schedule from now through February 2023. Please note, I will be teaching each of these classes going forward.
• Digital Classes + Training:
Going forward, Frequency will continue to offer its digital classes, digital training programs and offsite events as we prepare for an eventual relaunch with a refined product offering that we aim to make more dynamic, engaging, and integrated into the lives of our beloved community.
Through February 2023, Frequency will continue to offer private events and private classes in our Chelsea dome for groups of individuals and like-minded brands. Should you have an interest in renting our dome for a private class or private gathering, please contact us ([email protected]) or reach out to me directly.
On behalf of our entire team, I wanted to thank you for your support over the years as we shared this powerful therapeutic practice.
Frequency is transforming with the times and our primary goal is that she will continue to be a source of light, breath and healing for those who need it.

Left unattended, our cells perpetuate patterns, both positive and negative. These patterns can be passed on for generations. But, given love and attention, they heal and reprogram to their most optimal state.
When we think about healing ancestral trauma, it can seem daunting. But the healing happens in the here and now, on a moment to moment basis, cell by cell. When we actively pursue loving internal dialogue, altered states of consciousness through Breathwork and affirmations of love and vitality with mantra, we create fertile soil for healthy, vibrant, high frequency cells to be born into and to learn from.
Our healing journey is made of infinite small decisions to treat ourselves and each other with more love and care.
Breathwork is super beneficial if you are craving a good night’s 😴 sleep. It helps train our nervous system to be awake and responsive when it’s time to ☀️wake up. And to rest deeply when it’s time to 🌚 rest.

Our breath is both a response to environmental triggers, and also a catalyst for changes in our neurological state. What this means is that having a near miss with a car accident, can cause short shallow breathing high up in the chest. Let’s call this stress breath. It also means that when we “stress breathe”, car or no car, we send a message to our brains that stress is needed and the hormones like adrenaline and cortisol are released causing more stress in the body.
Our bodies are designed for short, potent bursts of stress and energy. Think hunting a tiger. Our bodies are also designed to exist in deep states of relax and ease for the majority of time. The problem is, we live in a culture that encourages low grade states of stress throughout the day. We never get the cathartic release of adrenaline that one might feel being chased by a tiger, nor do we enter deep states of rest, connection and ease.

≋ We like to say that the way we breathe is the way we live. And how we all choose to breathe can really affect overall health. Something as simple as breathing in and out through the nose, as opposed to the mouth can help maintain homeostasis and optimal body function. So cool, right?

👃 Nose breathing is optimal throughout the day/night for regular body maintenance, so why do we breathe through our mouth during Frequency Breathwork?

During Breathwork we are specifically choosing to breathe in and out through the mouth in order to bring the body into a heightened, but safe/controlled state with the breath. 👄 Mouth breathing enables us to take in more air in a shorter period of time to help create the conditions needed to achieve altered states of consciousness.

Regular nasal breathing for homeostasis and balance, coupled with short bouts of active circular breath through the mouth is a super healthy combination.

‘Frequency’ refers to a vibration, a magnetism, a unique energy code, that we feel in our own body and transmit into the world. Everyone and everything has its own unique frequency. The tone of your voice; the way in which you embrace; the way you show up in the world; the color pink; they all carry frequencies. Our frequency is always changing. The most transformational awareness of all? We have the power to shift our own frequency through practice. Meet FREQUENCY.
Our FREQUENCY practice is designed to help you explore your fullest potential. We tend to inhabit just a pixel of our complete human technology in our everyday lives. There is so much magic hidden under the static of our screens, our inboxes, and the stories we tell ourselves. Frequency is a practice that helps us safely explore our true selves, to get comfortable being ourselves, and to tune into our sense of wonder. How do we do this? At FREQUENCY, we utilize three main technologies: breath, sound, and human connection. When we are connected to our breath, to other human beings, and to the world, we are fully present. Our original manifestation of FREQUENCY came in the form of magical breathwork, sound, and human connection classes in our multi-sensory immersive dome, located in Chelsea, Manhattan. We opened our doors to in 2019 and had an unbelievable response from our community. We’ve temporarily suspended its use due to COVID-19.
FREQUENCY is a practice that meets you where you are, and grows with you. Our heart led teachers each bring beautiful, powerful, and authentic frameworks to their class offerings, ranging from kundalini yoga, reiki, sound healing, energy work, and other modalities. We encourage you to spend time learning about each of our magnificent teachers and choose classes that intrigue you. Let’s check in, right now. What is your frequency? What would it feel like to walk around in a body that is in resonance? To feel alive? To feel safe to have a place in this world to be creative, connected, and whole?
