The Annual St. Joseph Hill Academy Golf Outing and Tennis Open was held on Monday, June 24, 2024 at The Richmond County Country Club, a historic first for Our Academy!

We are blown away by the outpouring of support for St. Joseph Hill Academy’s mission: to serve our students and deliver an exceptional Catholic education.

Special thank you to our 136 Golfers and 35 Tennis Players for an incredible day! ⛳️🎾

SJHA’s Annual Golf Outing and Tennis Open concluded with a beautiful summer evening with our Hill Community at the Richmond County Country Club for a cocktail hour and honoree dinner reception.

This year we were thrilled to recognize three exceptional individuals who truly embody the mission of SJHA: Kerry Sullivan ’81, Jon Fundaro, and Kevin G. Moran. Kerry Sullivan, an alumna and SJHA Director of College Counseling and Law Teacher, Jon Fundaro, Vice President at Tillman Brokerage Inc., current SJHA Elementary School Parent and Elementary School Golf Coordinator, and Kevin G. Moran, former Hill Board Member, and dedicated Corporate Partner representing John Vincent Scalia Home for Funerals, all truly deserve this recognition.

Whether you were on the Golf Course, Tennis Court, or joined us for Cocktails and Dinner, please know your participation helps us to ensure the future success of our treasured St. Joseph Hill Academy!

Hill’s last Career Conversations: Alumnae Panel Series of the school year took place in May with four distinguished Hill alumnae on hand to share their career journeys in banking, compliance, and finance. They highlighted how their Hill experience equipped them with confidence, time management skills, effective communication, and a strong sense of empathy, all crucial for their success. By discussing their college studies and typical workdays, they opened students’ eyes to the diverse and unique career pathways within their fields. We are so grateful they take time out of their schedules to provide insights and stories that inspire our current students. It truly helps them to expand their horizons and shapes their vision for their future education and careers.

Special thank you to our speakers:
🔵Carla Colone, ES ’75, HS ’79, Senior Vice President, Chief Compliance Officer, Nordea Bank Abp
🔵Gillian Tiltman, ES ’95, HS ’99, Senior Vice President and Head of Investor Relations, Iron Mountain
🔵Valerie Toscano, ES ’82, HS ’86, Program Manager
🔵Patty (Marrone) Vidiksis, HS ’02, Executive Director in Global Financial Crimes Compliance, JPMorgan Chase

We’re so excited for the next series in 2025!

One of our favorite parts of a moving evening: the scenes of our Hill Graduates embracing their families, teachers, and classmates, celebrating the support that carried them through four transformative years. Their parents and loved ones played a crucial role in guiding and encouraging these graduates to success. St. Joseph Hill Academy cherishes and values the families who have been steadfast pillars of strength and inspiration for our graduates. 🎓

The St. Joseph Hill Academy High School Class of 2024 celebrated their Graduation Liturgy followed by the Awards Ceremony yesterday in our Lower Gym. Thank you to our Graduation Liturgy Presider, Bishop Peter J. Byrne, and Concelebrant, Fatherly Rhey Garcia for being with us during this last Mass together as a Senior Class. Bishop Peter J. Byrne reminded the Class of 2024 to have the strength and fortitude to be the light of the world.

Hill Graduation Liturgies are rich with tradition including a beautiful presentation of roses to the Blessed Mother and a Presentation of Class Mementos. Offertory gifts are presented by the graduates whose mothers are also alumnae together. And the Alumnae Association Induction ceremony led by Principal Elizabeth Campbell ‘94 is an incredibly moving milestone.

Isabella Idone also gave a touching farewell dedication to the graduates. During the Awards Ceremony that followed, numerous outstanding students were acknowledged for their commitment to community service, upholding the principles of Catholic social justice, and outstanding achievements in sports, the arts, and their embodiment school spirit.

We are counting down the hours to this evening’s Commencement Ceremony and thanking God for this beautiful day (especially the weather). See you for that last walk up the Hill! 💙🤍🎓🐨

At Hill, we strive to cultivate students who are leaders ready to face society’s challenges. To do this, we believe our students need to develop strong character and effective communication and critical thinking skills. Our AP Capstone Symposium was the perfect opportunity for our students to apply these principles. We were blown away by their research and presentation skills.

Hill’s AP Capstone Program is empowering our students and preparing them for college and beyond!
