Puente 2024 has kicked off! We ended the week with our annual Bear Mountain Trip, marking new beginnings and an exciting journey ahead! 🐻🏔️

The Class of 2024 has officially graduated! Despite facing unprecedented challenges, these Lions have persevered and are now ready to embark on their next journey. The ceremony took place on Friday, June 7, at St. Ignatius of Loyola Church.

This memorable event celebrated the entire Cristo Rey community, with the Class of 2024 receiving their diplomas and awards, and Jaylene Gonzalez delivering an inspiring farewell address.

Always remember your strength and the love that surrounds you. Celebrate your past achievements and embrace the exciting journey ahead! 🎓

Baccalaureate Mass brought families into St. Cecilia’s for the final celebration!🎉 Seniors took their class photo, received their class rings, were awarded end of year honors, and celebrated at a beautiful reception✨

Last week our seniors have been enjoying an amazing time with prom and college recognition events marking their achievements! Now, they’re gearing up for the next big milestone: GRADUATION! 🎓

On May 6th, Fordham University’s Gabelli School of Business hosted their annual “Pitch Proposal Competition” through its Corporate Communications Pipeline Program, promoting diversity, equity, and inclusion. Cristo Rey students participated in this city-wide event, pitching proposals on diversity inclusion to a panel of industry experts. The Lions earned both First and Third Place, achieving a historic three-peat victory! Congratulations to all that participated, we are so proud of you!🦁🎉

The Cristo Rey New York Founders’ Panel celebrated a significant milestone, marking 20 years of fulfilling the institution’s mission. The event commenced with a heartfelt mass, followed by an engaging panel discussion. Jack Raslowsky, President of Xavier High School and long-time trustee, moderated the panel, which included Founding Principal Bill Ford, Founding Chair of the Board of Trustees Madeline Lacovara, and Founding President Fr. Joe Parkes, SJ.

The gathering was a delightful reunion. It offered a chance to catch up with former colleagues, early alumni, and strengthen relationships with the current faculty. The event left everyone feeling inspired with a renewed sense of dedication to the mission and a promising future ahead!

Last Friday, 46 CRNY lions went to MLB!⚾️ They spent their morning learning from Office Operations & Facilities, Community Affairs, Marketing, Communications, Virtual Reality & Gaming, and so much more! They even had the chance to listen to four of their peers who intern at MLB present how they contribute to the Communications group! Thank you MLB for having us ⚾️
