The Sr. Joan Killen Award honors those graduates who have gone above and beyond the required service hours necessary for graduation. The honor is named after our own Sr. Joan Killen, who has been a Sister of St. Joseph for 64 years. Sr. Joan has devoted her life to so many ministries. Her faith has been an inspiration to all those who have been around her.

The Sr. Joan Killen Honor holds a very special place in our hearts. It is an award that reflects who we have been, who we currently are, and who we will strive to be in the future. The Mary Louis Academy is blessed to have our students committed to living out their faith. Their service has been life-changing to others as well as themselves.

This year’s recipients have served their communities in exceptional ways and with a generous spirit. Congratulations to the recipients of the Sr. Joan Killen Service Award 2024: Emma Foley, Anne Kearney, Lauren Palma and Chloe Rojas.

Our Fine Arts Department has had a busy spring!

In April, Genesians put on an unforgettable performance of Mean Girls for two sold-out audiences!

Earlier this month, our Art Show celebrated the creativity and talent of our TMLA art students, inducting many of them into the National Art Honor Society. Our Orchestra and Glee Clubs graced us with their beautiful sounds after the Art Show, effortlessly performing many of today's hits. On Friday night, there was a special performance of Dancing Queen, a tribute to our principal, Mrs. Cordes.

The hard work and dedication of all those involved in our Fine Arts Department—theater, art, and music—were evident in every show and performance this spring season! The arts continue to be an important part of our TMLA community, making it a richer and more vibrant place. Congratulations to all of our wonderful students who shared their talents with us, as well as their mentors, teachers, and directors; without you, none of this would be possible!
