BIA Charter School is a K-8 Public Charter School focused on STEM Project Based Learning and Persona
BIA Charter School is authorized by the State Charter Schools Commission of Georgia. The school opened in August 2016 as Brookhaven Innovation Academy serving grades K-6 and is now authorized as a K-8 school. Our Story
BIA opened in August 2016 with 420 students in grades K-6. BIA currently serves 480+ students (K-8). BIA offers families a student-centered learning environment, implementing a combination of STEM focused, Project-Based Learning (PBL) and blended learning curricula.
Inspired in part by the highly successful programs operated by the High Tech High Charter School Network in San Diego, California (www.hightechhigh.org), students attending BIA develop projects, learn to problem solve and document their findings before presenting their learning to peers and community as well as learning to Code from Kindergarten onwards.
