We meet every Thursday AM & are committed to making the Mt. Washington Valley a great place to live.
Come one, come all... to the MUD BOWL! This charity event will be held from September 6th to the 8th. 76 Norcross Circle, N. Conway behind the North Conway Community Center. All proceeds benefit local charities. Our club members will be manning the food concession for your culinary enjoyment.
Don't forget that this Thursday's meeting is at the 110 Grill from 5:30 PM to 6:30 PM. It will be an open forum meeting with an emphasis on community projects. Come join us if you can.
On July 30th, at the gazebo in N. Conway, Rotary member Major John David Edgerton took the stage to be the guest conductor for the Mount Washington Valley Band. John was bestowed this honor because of his lifelong dedication to serving his country through the military and public office. Recipient of the Bronze Star, Air Medal with 2 Oak Clusters, Pilot on Air Force One, and town official in Conway. He is well deserving of this honor.
This past Thursday's meeting had Caleb Gilbert from the Carroll County Coallition of Care, Substance Abuse, Emergency Preparedness, Young Adult Public Health and Veterans Coalition. Public Health focuses on Access to Physical Health Services, Access to Behavioral Health Services, Healthy Aging, Healthy Childhood experiences, Veteran's services and Emergency Preparedness. The agency works with many other organizations in the County to include Memorial and Huggins Hospitals, Children Unlimited etc. It was a great presentation and we are fortunate to have CCCPH available. If you ever have questions Caleb is always willing to talk with you or go to their website www.c3ph.org.
Our next meeting is this Thursday at 7:15 AM at the First Church of Christ across from Peaches. Caleb Gilbert from Carroll County Public Health. We'd love to have you join us. Find out how we help the community in so many ways.

This is just a friendly reminder that there is no meeting tomorrow. Hope to see you next week!
We are pleased to tell you about the newest member of our club, Frank Colardo. Frank has been a Rotary for over 36 years. He has been a Paul Harris Fellow several times in Rotary, He has recently moved from Rhode Island and enjoys the fellowship and mission of Rotary. We look forward collaborating with Frank on our projects.
We had a great meeting this morning with Peter Pelletier giving a presentation about the Rotary Foundation and the support our club makes towards it. He pointed out that our club is recognized by Rotary International for our club's ongoing support. If you would like to know more about the Rotary Foundation, just go to: https://www.rotary.org/en/about-rotary/rotary-foundation
We also had some of our board members pinned. Also wanted to thank those who brought such delicious food to the meeting.
Just a friendly reminder that there is no meeting this Thursday. Have a happy 4th!
Now that the school year is over, we just want to say "THANK YOU" to the culinary students who served our club this past school year so amazingly. We certainly enjoyed the fruits of your labor and skills. Hope to see you in the fall.
SAVE THE DATE! On 8/15th, there is going to be a great free concert benefiting the Way Station. Hope you can make it.
Our upcoming meeting this Thursday will be an open forum, planning meeting. The scheduled guest speaker can not attend due to a scheduling conflict.
The only thing better than being a great dad is a great dad who belongs to Rotary. :)
Just a friendly reminder there is no Thursday morning meeting this week. We are now on our summer schedule until the fall. Our next meeting will be next week, Thursday, June 20th at the First Congregational Church in N. Conway across from Peach's beginning at 7:15 AM. Hope to see you then!
This past Saturday was our clubs and the district changeover celebration. It was a fantastic time as we said "Thank You" to our stepping-down President, Jessica, and leaving District Governor, Susan. Of course, the crowd got a little rowdy with the swearing-in of Bob Young as our new club President and our very own Kelly Drew as the new District Governor. The festivities were held at the Mount Washington Valley Adult Day Center in Conway. We wish to thank them for being so gracious to us and offering such a wonderful venue. A fun time was had by all.
We had a great meeting this morning. We were fortunate to have two speakers today. First, we had Caren Peare speak about the Kevin Peare Memorial Skate Park proposed to be built near the southern end of the Washington Valley Rec Path near Walmart. They need to raise 40K by the end of this June so they can qualify for a grant to put them over the top. Our other speaker was Priscilla Legendre with her executive assistant (her 6-1/2 year-old daughter) to ask for clothing donations to help the people in southern Brazil who have been devastated by massive floods. Seeing that part of Brazil gets cold and they are heading into winter, cold weather clothes are needed the most. She is accepting donations at the North Conway Rec Center on Saturday from 9 - 12 and Sunday from 9 - 4. Any donation would be greatly appreciated.
Our summer schedule begins this week. We will be meeting at the First Congregational Church (across from Peach's) every other Thursday morning from 7:15 to 8:30 AM. Our guest speaker will be Caren Peare, who will be speaking about the proposed Kevin Peare Memorial Skate Park in N. Conway.
Welcome to the weekend! Just a reminder of the "Clean the Kanc" tomorrow. It's not too late to register at rotarycleans.org. Come join the fun!
Our club was honored by Scott Bailey of Dunkin' this past Saturday at their Grand Opening event at 1946 White Mountain Hwy in recognition of the ceaseless work we do in the community. There were a lot of fun activities that day. Thank you Scott for your support.
Tyler Walcott, Rylie Walker, Ivy Zipf, and Ruby Weeman are the recipients of the North Conway Rotary Scholarships for this year. Our club honors students who have strived to achieve academic excellence. Congrats all!
Our club is sending members to Gorham to participate in the Guy Lopez golf tournament. I'm sure we'll be the winning team. 🤣 It's being held at the Androscoggin Valley Country Club in Gorham on May 31st starting at 9 AM.
Continuing with our "Where's Rotary", the Rotary Club of Ensenada, Mexico donated the wall mural at the entrance of the convention center. It shows both the U.S. California and Mexican California. They also have a marker in the middle of the main street. Check out their web page: https://rotaryensenada.com/.
On April 18th, our club plus invited guests celebrated the 80th Birthday of one of our mose esteemed members. Carolyn has been a member of the North Conway Rotary for 24 years and still loves being a member. She is especially dedicated to maintaining our Rotary Park. Thank you, Carolyn, for all you do. 😊
Saturday, June 1st!! We are having our Clean the Kanc event. If you would like to join us, sign up at rotarycleans.org and sign up. Just bring yourself. We'll supply you with everything you'll need to make our nationally famous byway as beautiful and pristine.
On May 26th @ 7 PM, there is a Memorial Day Concert at the Leura Eastman Theater at Fryeburg Academy. The Seacoast Wind Ensemble will be performing again. Please join us. You won't be disappointed. The concert has been offered by our members Jim & Karen Umberger. This is a free concert, but goodwill offerings are graciously accepted. 😉 COME JOIN US!
Tomorrow will be our last club meeting at Mineral Springs Cafe until the fall. We will meet by-weekly during the summer at the First Congregational Church in N. Conway.
This week's meeting is, what we call, an open forum. This means that there will be no guest speaker. We use this time to talk about club business. The Culinary students will be fixing breakfast for each person individually, with omelets and other sophisticated delights offered. It will be a fun time.
Yesterday, a group of Rotarians and friends braved the inclement weather to get Rotary Park in N. Conway as attractive as possible for the upcoming summer season. Thank you, guys, for helping make the park as beautiful as possible.
