That’s a wrap on Pathways2Possibilities 2023! Acadian Ambulance was honored to be the only ambulance service participating in the 10th annual career expo at the Mississippi Coast Coliseum & Convention Center on November 15 and 16.

Thanks to our team members who visited with nearly 6,800 students over the two days, speaking about career opportunities in EMS and showcasing our ambulance and some of our training and lifesaving equipment.

We also enjoyed the camaraderie with our valued first responders of Gulfport and Biloxi: members of the fire and police departments, Harrison County Emergency Management Agency, Harrison County Sheriff’s Department, Harrison County Fire Rescue, Mississippi Department of Marine Resources, as well as our partners from Mississippi Gulf Coast Community College, Memorial Hospital of Gulfport and Singing River Health System.

Veterans have been a core part of Acadian's history from the very beginning. Some of our earliest medics were returning Vietnam veterans. Throughout our 52 years, we have employed countless active duty and veteran service members. The men and women featured in this video are just a few of our current team members who have served.

Today and every day, we thank veterans for their service to our country.

Congratulations to our Jackson County team for being recognized by CARES!

CARES helps communities measure performance and identify how to improve cardiac arrest survival rates. CARES member communities gain more than just access to information that will help them improve performance and save lives; they also contribute to one of the largest EMS registries in the world, and one of the few that also includes patient outcome information from hospitals. Those features enable CARES data to be used to conduct vital research that furthers our knowledge of cardiac arrest treatment and saves countless lives for years to come.

First responders are those whose job is to respond immediately when there is an accident, emergency or threat. Paramedics, EMTs, EMRs, dispatchers, firefighters, and law enforcement officers are on alert, on call, and always there for us when we need them.

We celebrate First Responders Day to give recognition to those who put their lives on the line on a regular basis.

If you see a first responder today, thank them for their commitment and dedication.
