Engineering Students…

We are eager to have you back on campus tomorrow and starting your spring classes. However, due to frozen pipes and related flooding in the Engineering Building, students who have scheduled classes in that building will NOT have any classes on Tuesday, January 16. All other classes scheduled in any other campus building will proceed as planned.

For students with scheduled classes in the Engineering Building, we'll be in touch sometime tomorrow with a plan for how your classes will resume. In the meantime, stay safe and warm.

We learned so much at the Robotics Fair. Sayuri a 10th grader from STEM Academy taught us how her team robot works and what tasks need to be completed at the fair.

It's not too late to apply to UTPB for the spring 2024 semester!

💸 We are waiving the $40 application fee for anyone who attends AND we have a $1,000 scholarship for students who are transferring from another institution. This is on top of the Falcon Free opportunity that exists for all undergraduate students in Texas.

✅ We ask that prospective students bring their unofficial transcript(s) to the fairs. First-time freshmen, transfer, and graduate students can attend! Fairs will take place on the 1st floor of the Mesa Buliding in the enrollment lobby.

UTPB will be closed for the holiday break beginning Thursday, December 21, 2023. Offices will reopen on Wednesday, January 3, 2024.

Counseling and psychological services are available virtually using TimelyCare.

Fitness center and weight room holiday hours:
- 10am-6pm
- CLOSED December 23-26, Dec 31, and January 1
- Normal hours resume on Jan 3

Classes will begin for the spring 2024 semester on Tuesday, January 16.

There's a critical need for mental health professionals in the Permian Basin. If you’re passionate about helping others, come earn your master’s degree FOR FREE in counseling, psychology, or social work at UTPB.

UTPB invites students from any junior college within a 400-mile radius to apply for a paid summer research experience!

If you are interested in real energy and environmental problems, this opportunity is for you! You will work closely with faculty mentors and participate in professional development workshops, training sessions, and field trips.

The research program is 10 weeks long, beginning June 1st on UTPB's campus. Students will receive a $600 per week stipend plus meals allowance, on-campus housing (if needed), and travel to present at a conference.
