Talk about a busy Saturday! I started my morning out in Rainer at the Round up parade with some of our 2025 MTC contestants. It may have been a bit rainy, but nothing stopped us from having fun! After a bit of goofiness, I headed up to Seattle to support some of my athletes who had the opportunity to be part of the Junior Seahawks Dancers! I even spotted my little Freya and spent some time with her. I met up with my favorite and forever Emma and of course we had to take a picture of the back of our jerseys. Overall, I would consider this busy day a 10/10.

The opening of the of the Thurston County Fair was a success! It was so exciting to see all of the people there having a good time. Our local vendors have lots of fun things to look at, purchase, and inquire about. Be sure to check them all out! Emma and I got to see one of our MTCT sisters Maddie and it was such a nice surprise. We also stopped at the Reptile Isle booth to meet Chiquita the snake (check out my story to see her 👀) and handed out awards to some stellar vendors 🤩
The Thurston County Fair is over this Sunday, don’t miss out!

HAPPY DISABILITY INDEPENDENCE DAY!💙

Did you know… 💭

Today marks the 34th anniversary of the signing of the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA)! The ADA ensures accessibility for all with disabilities making it possible for them to be integral parts of their communities!

Today, myself and countless others continue to fight for true inclusion of all people with disabilities. Inclusion is not achieved when laws are passed, but rather when all people feel valuable in their community.

I am honored to work with these amazing individuals everyday and I am incredibly grateful to call many of them my friends!

Freya and I had an absolute blast yesterday during the Lakefair parade. We rode in a ✨stylish✨ Jeep courtesy of and even though it was 90 degrees outside, we had no problem staying cool 😎
Thank you to the little boy from who handed me the beautiful rose, it was very thoughtful and made me smile. If you haven’t gone to the fair, there’s still time today! Check it out while you can! Lakefair ends tonight after fireworks 10pm. It’s a beautiful sight to see with a breathtaking view of the capital. Don’t miss out!

I am so honored to announce:

I made top 12, was voted Miss Congeniality by my fellow queens, and was voted People’s Choice by my community! But the best part? Some of my athletes came to support! I truly could not be more grateful.

The Miss Washington competition is over and our new Miss Washington is….
✨Hermona Girmay!✨

What an incredible week with an incredible group of women. The Miss Washington class of 2024 is truly something special. From being a shoulder to lean on, to doing each others hair and makeup, to being a hype woman for each other, I’m so happy and grateful to be part of it all. I am so impressed, proud, and inspired by each and every one of them all ❤️I’m also so unbelievably proud of myself. I put my voice out there to advocate for my beliefs, I was not afraid, and I did my best. If I’m being honest, interview is the phase I have always been the most nervous about. Since my accident in the fall of 2019, I have never been able to accept the way that I process information or the way that I speak. Since working deeply with Special Olympics for the past 6/7 years, I’ve grown more and more comfortable finding ways to move through my new barriers. I use to be so nervous about public speaking and private interview that I could feel all of my muscles shaking with anxiety and fear. Fear of messing up, fear of misspeaking, fear of offending and not being able to explain or apologize.

Thursday morning before private interview, I opened 2 letters. One from my best friend and one from my closest, most honest, and most sincere mentor. Emma helped me remain calm and think and Mallory reminded me of how far I’ve come and how proud everyone is of me and what I’ve done. When I walked into my interview, I was not only calm, but self assured. I was confident with my first few answers and when I came to my barriers, I was able to remember to use the skills I’ve built to get me through them. Not once did any muscle quiver as I flew through my interview. I’m so grateful and honored to know these 2 amazing, kind, and selfless individuals. Great minds really do think alike.

3 days until a new Miss Washington is crowned!!

I wanted to take a moment to appreciate all of the memories and people that have been such a big support to get me where I am today in my life and achievements. Thank you to volunteer and workers like Alex Cheesman and Tyler Bjork for keeping me in mind during events! A huge thank you to my friends and family for always believing in me and keeping me humble and confident. Thank you to my board members for reminding me that I am enough and my voice and perspectives are important, valid, and appreciated. Thank you to my parents, without you guys I quite literally would not be here. Thank you to my cheer team and co-coaches for giving my love, showing me compassion, and giving me grace. Thank you to my partner, Christina, for helping me keep my head on my shoulders, keeping me calm, helping me make sure I have everything I could possibly need, and making late night trips to the store for me. Thank you to my MTC family for your love and kindness. Thank you to my Miss Washington sisters for your shoulders to lean on, ears to listen, and hands to hold. Every single person in my life has done nothing, but be with me every step of the way. While I may be unable to speak with you all face to face now, just now that I see you and feel all of your love.

🧚🏽‍♀️🧝🏽‍♀️🐉 Table Top Games 🏰🎲🌋

I spent the rainy weekend having fun in a fantasy land with many other title holders at Capital Mall! While my favorite game was Dungeons and Dragons, there were other fun board games like Candy Land, Monopoly, and much more!
I don’t think I can express how much fun I had using my imagination with everyone to create and complete missions! I even made some new friends 💕

✨ Confidence never looked so good ✨

Thank you to .branding for this amazing photoshoot! This was so fun and I felt so powerful 🫶🏽 This is not my official headshot for the Miss Washington competition, but it was definitely hard to choose between this one and the one I did choose 🥰

❤️ The Miss America Opportunity has partnered up with the American Heart Association to raise funds and awareness of cardiovascular disease. As someone whose family has a history of various heart related issues and a medical assistant, I find it is important to be knowledgeable of your heart health. One way to keep track is took regularly watch your blood pressure. It’s something that can be affected by anything. For example, if you’re dealing with more stress than usual in your life, your blood pressure maybe on the higher side.

❤️ Blood pressure numbers of less than 120/80 mm Hg are considered to be within the normal range. If your results fall in this category, continue with heart-healthy habits like regular exercise and healthy eating. Please note, a diagnosis of high blood pressure must be confirmed with a medical professional. A health care professional should also evaluate any unusually low blood pressure readings.

❗️The Miss America Opportunity has partnered up with the American Heart Association❗️
My goal is to raise $300 or more for the AHA. Funds would be used to spread awareness and support our communities impacted by heart disease.

Friend & Family page update!!

It’s coming along strongly! If you’re looking for ways to show your support, there is still room to add your name by donating! Any amount is so so helpful and greatly appreciated ☺️

“What if I want to donate, but I don’t have Venmo?”
What a great question. For other ways to donate, please send me a direct message 💕

“I have a business that I want to advertise.”
Perfect! I would love to give you more information on how to get you’re own ad page in the Miss Washington program book. DM me for more information!

There are definitely a lot of perks being a title holder, but the friendships you make and the pretty dresses really are on of my favorites ✨
