We are currently without power due to the energy emergency rolling blackouts. We are expecting the power to be down for 30-60 minutes. We will update once power is back up.

As we begin to reopen the dental office on Monday May 4th for regular cleaning and dental appointments, we wanted to let you know of the changes being made to protect you and our dental team. The protection of our patients and our team will always be the upmost importance to us.

The following policies and guidelines that our office will be implementing are the following:

• All Providers will be wearing additional PPE (Personal
Protective Equipment)

• Medical grade HEPA filters will be circulating air in each
operatory.

• COVID-19 screening questions that we will ask prior to
your appointment or at the time of scheduling.

• Your temperature will be taken before every appointment.

• We request you attend your appointment by yourself, and
only one care giver or parent to a patient needing
assistance.

• The waiting room will be CLOSED to follow social
distancing guidelines.

• We ask that we call or text us from your car when you
arrive and we will check you in. Remain in your car and
will alert you when it is your turn.

• You will be escorted into your appointment and to the exit
after your appointment to comply with social distancing
guidelines.

We are currently in the process of re-scheduling all dental appointments that were delayed due to COVID-19 shutdown. We will be reaching out to those patients over the next several weeks to reschedule. As Dental healthcare providers, the health and well-being of our patients, staff, and their families has always and will always be our top priority. We are experiencing an unprecedented chain of events in our country, and difficult decisions have been placed before us.

Given the recent guidelines issued from the American Dental Association (link below), Lenz Family Dental has made a decision to temporarily put all our elective procedures on hold. However, we want to ensure our patients that we are readily available to treat all urgent cases. We will be working in limited capacity to address Dental Emergencies and Dental treatment that cannot or should not be put off. These conditions include but are not limited to:

*Severe Toothache (thumping or throbbing that prevents sleep and/or daily functioning)
*Swelling of gums, face, or neck
*Bleeding in the mouth that does not stop
*Trauma (such as broken teeth due to injury)
*Cracked tooth
*Extensive decay or defective restoration
*Crowns that have either come off our have become debonded.

ADA recommending dentists postpone elective procedures The ADA is recommending that dentists nationwide postpone elective procedures in response to the spread of the coronavirus, COVID-19, across the country.

I would like to take this opportunity to address the many questions and concerns regarding the spread of Coronavirus (COVID19). Here at Lenz Family Dental we have always made the health and well-being of our patients and our team members our number one priority. We have always, and will continue to utilize universal precautions outlined by OSHA and the CDC at all times. We are currently certified and very strictly compliant with all the infection control prevention guidelines that have been laid out by OSHA and the CDC. These processes have always been important to our office and we will continue to uphold these standards for everyone that walks through our doors.

To help ensure the safety of our patients and our team members, we ask that anyone who has traveled abroad or to an infected area, or anyone who has had a fever or cold/flu-like symptoms in the last 48 hours to please call and reschedule your appointment. We will be happy to help you in any way that we can.

He may be most known for his role in the American Revolutionary War, but Paul Revere was also a dentist. He was responsible for the first known case of post-mortem dental forensics, as he was able to identify his fallen friend, Dr. Joseph Warren, by the bridge he had put into his mouth before he passed.
