Tip of the week:
Parents if you are experiencing a child with fear or anxiety at the pool. Taking small steps such as bringing them by seeing the space, sitting on poolside, or having just toes into the pool and playing with toys can help remove discomforts and builds trust with therapist. DON’T GIVE UP. Those minor steps will reduce their feelings of discomfort in time and they will want to enter the pool one day. “Slow and steady will win this race!”

The Children’s Miracle Network Hospitals program, in partnership with the Monterey Bay Aquarium, is making a once-in-a-lifetime scuba experience available to special needs children on Wednesday, August 9 and Saturday, August 26.
This FREE program allows children ages 8-14 with physical and/or cognitive special needs to surface-scuba dive in the Aquarium's Great Tide Pool.
