Our first midwest art fair of the summer schedule is the Old Town Art Fair right here in Chicago.

We are in booth #411 on Menomonee Street. Happy to be here, we thought we might have to cancel due to health issues but I am good to go - hope to see you there!!

Heart Surgery Update
First off, thank you to so many who have offered help, kind words, prayers, and moral support as I face open heart surgery.
Thursday, I received a call from the doctor's office - I thought I was going to be told what time the surgery would happen on Good Friday but instead they told me an emergency case moved my surgery date to an undetermined future date.
Nobody wants surgery but I was all psyched up and ready, now we just wait until next week for the next potential date for surgery.

The good news is: I can enjoy a traditional Easter celebration with friends, I can conduct my last pottery class, I can make more pottery to prepare for the post surgery period when I cannot be in the studio at all.

It is a bit heart breaking but it could be worse, I could have had a heart attack just waiting to get into the hospital for this procedure - I have been told to be patient and wait for this doctor, he is absolutely wort waiting for.

Open Heart Surgery Update!!

Met with the surgeon today. Surgery is scheduled for Good Friday, March 29th. Doctor says recovery is tough to start but after 2 months, I can resume most activities - fingers crossed!!

Double Bypass Surgery
Valve Repair or Replacement
5 - 6 days in hospital - post-op
First Month at home - Lift up to 10 lbs limit - no clay work
Second Month at home - Lift up to 20 lbs limit - some clay work
Third Month at home - Throw like the wind!!

Heart felt thank you to everyone sending kind regards, prayers and well wishes, and offers to help in any way practical. We are feeling the love and support!

If you are looking for a good holiday movie, light hearted with a gay theme, check out "Single All The Way" on netflix - we watched it last night and thought it was cute, full of gay humor and stereotypes that we enjoyed.

My step mother, Verda, loved butterflies and she, herself, reminded me of a butterfly - always dressed in pretty colors, so perfect and free spirited - she was as ornery as she was pretty.

This song reminded me of her and the last days we spent with her here on earth. Fly free, my pretty butterfly - soar high and dance with the angels and reunite with those who have gone before you.
