Support the Creation of a Community Food Forest in San Jose!
Over 150,000 residents in Santa Clara County don’t have access to enough food. It’s an issue that cuts across neighborhoods and generations. But there’s a solution rooted in community-grown food, and it’s time for San Jose to embrace this approach!
Acterra’s HomeGrown Bay Area coalition is working to build a sustainable and equitable food system by creating a public food forest in downtown San Jose. These spaces blend gardens, parks, and orchards, providing free fresh produce while conserving water, sequestering carbon, boosting biodiversity, and offering educational opportunities.
Join us in building a sustainable and equitable food system. Communities like Boston, Seattle, and Denver have seen the benefits of similar projects. Sign our petition to bring a public food forest to San Jose and create a greener, healthier future for all!
