Founded in 1936, Assistance League of Pasadena is one of the organization's longest standing chapters. “Share the Vision” was held at Ursula Hyman’s home on Monday. Leading the group discussion was Jasmine Megrabyan with comments recorded by Cheryl Burke. In attendance was Nancy Lewis, Shirley Harris, Janice Najera, Maggie Moran and Margaret Clougherty. Thanks to ALL for their contribution in providing a path forward for our community.
Madison elementary school liaisons picked up the backpacks from ALP on Tuesday morning. Pictured is Melinda Marangi and Debra Benveniste. Melinda is ALP librarian who selects and purchases the books that are placed in each students backpacks. Also Melinda assisted with on boarding new member Debra. WELCOME Debra and special thanks to Melinda for ALL that you do for our community.
Cynthia Nelson led a team of ALP members in assembling food packets for the Women’s Room at Friends in Deed. Pictured is Cynthia, Katie, Simonette, Maria, Karen and Anne. 2 car loads of boxes was delivered to TWR on Tuesday afternoon. Thanks Cynthia for coordinating the tasks of purchasing, assembling, and delivering the food for the patrons.

After preparing the PUSD backpacks the ALP team went across the courtyard to help assemble over 100 food packets for Women’s Room at Friends in Deed.
Many hands make for quick work. 12 ALP members gathered on Tuesday morning to prepare 42 backpacks in record time. 32 for Madison, 8 for Willard with 2 for Mc Kinley school students.

Operations School Bell team assembled a total of 47 backpacks on Tuesday, August 27th. The lucky students who will be receiving these backpacks attend Altadena, Madison and Willard schools.
School Supplies for Success in Action at ALP. Michelle Chino leads a team in assembling 140 school supply kits for PUSD middle and high school students.
Assistance League Pasadena selects a new board for the 2024-2025 year.
Caring & Commitment in Action by the Operation School Bell team who prepared 30 backpacks for the Madison School students. Each backpack contains a school uniform, hygiene kit along with a book for the student to enjoy.

Donates Comfort Teddy Bears
In August 2022, the Assistance League of Pasadena donated teddy bears to the Glendale Memorial Hospital’s Emergency Room as part of their Bear Hugs Program. The goal of the Bear Hugs Program is to "provide huggable friends to children who have been victims of neglect, abuse or are experiencing trauma or unusual stress".
