DECISION DAY (RUN FROM APRIL 18 - MAY 1)

Seniors, National College Decision Day is May 1, 2023, for most four-year colleges. Join us on Tuesday, May 2 from 3:45-5:45 PM in room A136 to celebrate your college commitment! Whether you’re headed to a CCC, CSU, UC or private college, we want to celebrate you, your hard work, and your future success with pizza, music, and fun!

GUIDED NEW STUDENT COUNSELING WITH PCC (RUN FROM APRIL 24 - MAY 8)

If you applied to PCC and still need to complete your New Student Counseling and receive your education plan, this workshop is for you! Join us on Monday, May 8 at 6:30pm via Zoom. The workshop is open to all PCC-bound seniors. Sign up here: LINK.

THE INSIDE SCOOP ON COLLEGE (RUN FROM APRIL 24 - MAY 10)

Students in grades 9-11, join us for a virtual student panel on Wednesday, May 10 at 6:30pm to hear from current PUSD seniors and recent graduates about tips, tricks, and lessons learned from applying to and attending college. Congratulations to John Muir High School Early College Magnet Hannah Skidmore who is PUSD's only finalist for Congresswoman Judy Chu's 14th annual Congressional Art Competition. Hannah, a junior, was one of 9 finalists of 150 submissions, and was awarded honorable mention for her photo entitled, "A Gentle Giant". Her work will hang in the Congresswoman's Pasadena office.

Hello fellow ‘Stangs! Today, we’d like to congratulate, and introduce you all to the newest addition to our Muir family, our new Girls Basketball Head Coach, Jordan Jackson!!

Jordan is a lifelong Pasadenan and former Mustang, who played at Muir for the first two years of high school. She went on to play D1 hoops at UCF and CSUF, and has had recent assistant coaching stints at places like Mt. SAC and PCC. Last year, she landed her first head coaching gig at St. Pius X, and this year she is excited to take over our Lady ‘Stangs program.

Jordan replaces Adam Conover, who did an excellent job last year in getting our girls back to the playoffs for the first time in a decade. We thank Coach Adam for everything he did to get the program back to some relevancy, and can't wait to see Coach Jordan propel our girls program to even greater heights.

It's my honor to introduce you all to Coach Jordan Jakcson. Let’s all wish her and our burgeoning program the best of luck!!

John Muir High School Early College Magnet had their Incoming New Students to Muir Orientation Night last night. Thanks to all the parents, students, staff, community members, and school resource organizations who attended! We can't wait for all of our new students to become official 'Stangs!

Welcome Future Mustangs! Dr. Gray invites current 8th graders who will attend John Muir High School and their families to the Incoming 9th Grade and New Family Orientation and Welcome Night.
