Troop 5 was founded at Polytechnic School in 1916, nine years after the 1907 founding of the Boy Sco Troop 5 helped start the Poly Pet and Hobby Show.
Troop 5 was founded at Polytechnic School in 1916, nine years after the 1907 founding of the Boy Scouts by British General Robert Baden-Powell. Troop 5 scouts brought their pets to campus one afternoon in 1916, beginning a tradition that has lasted 100 years. Troop 5 ran the Poly Pet and Hobby Show for many years.
