Ahhhhh…..IEA Membership Season…..The start to a fresh, new competition year full of possibilities, anticipation and excitement.

Gone are the days of filling out paperwork by hand, chasing down parents for signatures, snail mailing your stack of rider applications and checks, and waiting several weeks for your paperwork to be typed into spreadsheets and eventually into the old IEA database.

If you are not among the 4,000 IEA members who have already submitted their online applications this season, you will notice a BIG DIFFERENCE in the membership process and the new AccessIEA database program. Not only does it look COMPLETELY different, it has (and will continue to grow) new capabilities and procedures for how your information is entered, stored, accessed, and processed all season long.

AccessIEA is brand new to all of us at IEA – staff included. So new, in fact, that we are still beta-testing certain aspects of it daily/weekly as we work closely with our amazing technical development team at Innate.ly to add new streamlined data management features.

When we signed on to this project almost a year ago, we knew this was going to be a BIG learning curve year for all of us. After all, we’ve been chugging along in our old jalopy of a database for the past 14 years and now we’ve been handed the keys to a shiny, sporty new Mercedes. It’s gonna take all of us a bit of time to learn how to drive it and how it handles.

If you are NEW to IEA, you won’t know anything different. If you are a RETURNING member, there are some helpful FAQ’s and videos on the IEA JOIN webpage that can help you navigate the new AccessIEA system and help troubleshoot any issues you may be having. The first step for all members – both NEW and RETURNING – is to first CREATE AN ACCOUNT and then LOGIN and JOIN.

AccessIEA is growing with us and as with anything that grows, comes growing pains. We are definitely in that growing-pain stage now as we navigate all the bells and whistles that are being added to streamline and improve your IEA membership experience going forward.

As new capabilities are being released, we ask for your patience and understanding and your HELP in bringing to our attention any glitches you may experience. Our FAQ link is a document that is updated regularly as it addresses the most current questions being asked and offers answers to current and future capabilities.

As of now, riders, coaches, teams, adult members, and show officials can join. Show hosts that are working on August and early September shows will need to communicate closely with the Membership Office Team as far as temporary procedures for prize lists and show programs. Eventually, AccessIEA will automatically generate these completed documents for you – but we are not quite there yet. (Yay to no more hand-typing, cutting & pasting, re-sizing, inserting, etc.)

We are grateful you are along for the ride with us on this exciting new journey of bringing IEA up-to-speed in the technology world. Thank you again for your patience. We look forward to another great IEA season.

Hey horse friends, what is going on with the Spalding fly predator company?
I Have had a flawless experience with them for 10 years.
This year on auto renew annually (I checked the card etc) nothing shows up.
I call & email. Multiple times.
I get an order confirmation email back showing they shipped. Card has been billed for a full year.
3 months later, 15 emails, 10 calls. (No answer, only a recording)
I can’t get anyone to reply?!?!??
