This is David Bravo with Premier Martial Arts and I am reaching out to let you know that we have started a men’s group with a couple of primary agendas.

First, to help build our skill sets in all areas of life. Second, to build friendships, bonds, and deeper connections with other men, so that we can share in the trials and struggles of life and problem solving, encourage, and support each other. Third, to share with those curious about Jesus and to grow ourselves in Christ, by sharing scripture, fellowship, and prayer for one another.

Once connected to our group, please suggest some ideas on topics, skills, or concepts that you would either like to learn about, or are skilled to teach. It needs to be a skill or a portion of a skill that can be taught in about an hour, maybe 2 hours.

We shouldn’t run from our tribulations and sufferings. God commands us to trust Him and find joy in our sufferings. I can attest that running from what God calls us to only leads to greater pain. God WILL come through!! Please don’t miss out on the miracles God will perform if you remain in His will. Forgive, endure, hope and reconcile.

“3Not only that, but we rejoice in our sufferings, knowing that suffering produces endurance, 4and endurance produces character, and character produces hope, 5and hope does not put us to shame, because God’s love has been poured into our hearts through the Holy Spirit who has been given to us.” Romans 5, 3:5

Our next gathering is in Sunday, January 21st, noon till 4:30 pm.

The moral gap between God and ourselves is far, far greater than the moral gap between the worst of us and the best of us. Yet He offers overflowing grace, mercy, and forgiveness to us, free of charge. Are we responding in kind?

We, as Christians, sand against God regularly in a variety of ways. We receive grace, mercy, forgiveness, patience, reconciliation, and love from our Heavenly Father.

Let’s ensure that we are showing Grace, mercy, forgiveness, patience, reconciliation, and love, as we are transformed into the image of Christ.

We have all worshipped other gods
We have all built idols
We have all used Gods name in vain
We have not kept the Sabbath holy
We have all dishonored our mothers and fathers
We have all murdered (see 1 John 3:15, Matthew 5:21-22)
We have all committed adultery (see Matthew 5:27-28)
We have all stolen
We have all lied
We have all coveted

“For if while we were enemies we were reconciled to God by the death of his Son, much more, now that we are reconciled, shall we be saved by his life.” Romans 5:10

We have been forgiven, so we should joyfully forgive.

“Be kind to one another, tenderhearted, forgiving one another, as God in Christ forgave you.” Ephesians 4:32

We have been supernaturally reconciled, So we are called to reconcile with each other in our relationships.

“All this is from God, who through Christ reconciled us to himself and gave us the ministry of reconciliation;” 2 Corinthians 5:18

God delights and forgiveness and reconciliation.

In a throwaway world where things break and we just go replace them until the next thing breaks, I choose Gods way. I choose to be a fixer. And when God fixes something, it’s always better than when it was new.

Study in proverbs

God calls Men to:

Seek wisdom
Fear your God
Guard your mind / heart
Obey your believing parents
Select your friends / companions wisely
Control your desires
Be faithful to your wife
Watch your words & be honest
Pursue your work
Be a good steward of your money
Serve your neighbor

“People don’t change”

People change all the time. Most of us aren’t the same people we were 5, 10, or 20 years ago. Positive change usually occurs when the desire for change is greater than the pain and sacrifice involved in changing.
