It's been a very busy 1st half of August! We are cleaning teeth, protecting pets from diseases and preventing flea, tick, and parasite problems non-stop. Looking at these faces makes us happy! ☺️

Nova has been missing until last night! Her owners were so grateful to have her back and Dr. Brown gave her a once-over and found her to be no worse for the wear after her adventure. Welcome Home Nova, and never do that again! 🧏‍♀️😉

Dorothy was just the sweetest girl and she looked so sad all day, so she got extra EXTRA attention! (And look- a rare Marley sighting 🧡)

Puppy is so big, you almost can't see Londyn peeking or behind! What a gorgeous Maine C**n in for a dental cleaning yesterday. 🤩

This darling girl came in today for a blood test, which Shelby and Kat took care of, stat! Did you know we have a diagnostic lab right in our building that we can use? We also have access to an outside lab that is a little less expensive for the client but takes a little longer to get results back. We love being able to tailor treatment to the needs of the pet!

The future Dr. Gingras stopped by to visit his mom today and was wearing the most amazing shirt, so of course we had to get a picture! 🤩

Beemer was held by many today at his first puppy appointment. My goodness, this Pug is a Heartbreaker! 🥹🤎💜🩷❤️

It's our Dental Special Month at BAH! These are just a few of the gorgeous pets that left yesterday with cleaner, healthier mouths. Dental cleanings and exams are recommended annually for all pets over the age of 3, and in August, you can receive $30 off the cost. Give us a call to get your pet scheduled!

Oh my goodness! Dr. Gingras got to meet this absolute doll for her first puppy visit, and then everyone else took turns getting snuggles! And her name is Lavender, which is just the sweetest- like her! 💜

Help enrich the lives of a shelter pet!

SAMS’ top priority is the livelihood of the animals it inhabits. We understand we are just a transitional phase in these animals lives, but we work tirelessly to make these dogs feel at home while they search for their forevers. 🐾

Part of the way we are able to do this is through enrichment. We try to provide our dogs with as much positive mental stimulation as we can on a daily basis. At SAMS, we are lucky to have yards where our animals can practice just being dogs. However, at night and during poor weather conditions, the dogs must stay in their kennels. In these cases, we use lick mats, and non rawhide chewing bones to relieve their anxiety and boredom. 🐶

Molly was not one bit impressed by her first veterinary visit. She slept for most of the appointment! Wouldn't it be wonderful if all our pets could be so relaxed at the vet? Molly is 9 weeks old and a very sweet border collie mix.
