In observance of Labor Day, Meadowbrook NORTH and SOUTH will be closed on Monday, September 2nd.

There will be boarding pickup only on September 2nd from 3-5pm. There will be NO MEDICAL or PHARMACY SERVICES during this time. There will not be boarding pickup on Sunday, September 1st.

Today commemorates the beautiful memories of our beloved animal companions who will forever be in our hearts.

As the excessive heat continues, please keep your pets in mind. Keep walks short during the day, saving a longer walk until after dusk or before dawn. Make sure your pet has access to fresh water at all times. If you can't bring your pet inside, make sure to provide adequate shade and water.

And if you think your pet might be experiencing heat exhaustion or heat stroke, call your veterinarian IMMEDIATELY.

National Dog Day encourages ownership of all breeds! While seeking a new friend, be sure to consider mutts, mixes, purebreds and everything in between.

Whether mixed or purebred, embrace the opportunity for all dogs to live a happy, safe and abuse free life. Dogs give us companionship, keep us safe and aid those in need. They help keep us healthy both physically and mentally. While many days aim to find loving homes for dogs, today urges humans to look beyond the breed and into the heart of the animal.

But(t) f***l screenings are an important step in protecting your pet. An ova and parasite test helps us find intestinal parasite infections that may not be present outwardly.

Harper, a soon to be third grader, helped Dr. Stout this morning see a few patients at North. She learned the importance of annual exams and vaccines for dogs and cats, assisted in examining a client’s new kitten and saw some interesting (aka gross) stuff on the microscope.
