Stuck wondering what you can do for fun this summer in light of recent recreational restrictions? Don’t worry, we’ve done the research so you don’t have to! Swipe left to learn more about some activities you can do this summer! Stay safe and have fun!
In the last few months, politicians, business owners, and the public more broadly have decided that instead of providing resources and support to students to combat gun violence in the city, they have criminalized us. Instead of creating more safe spaces, they have consistently decided to further restrict where students can go. They have banned us from being outside, from being in a mall, and from being in OUR city. As we enter summer and soon to gain a new mayor, we want to remind Philadelphia that this is our city too.
As we celebrate the LGBTQIA+ community of past and present, know that the work is far from over. Use your voice to fight for what’s right.

Throughout March, the Our City Our Schools coalition shared five prompts with each of the Mayoral candidates to learn more about their plans for transforming our schools. We are a coalition of organizations and individuals that demand fairly funded transformative schools that address the needs and desires of school community members These questions speak to core values of how our schools are being led, shaped and serving our communities. We have included the first sentence of responses from each of the mayoral candidates. you can see their full responses @ bit.ly/FULLmayoralRESPONSES
