We have some great ideas and opportunities in the works for our Veterans in the very near future!!! This includes our Trenches 2 Wrenches program, the launch of our podcast, and collaboration with the one and only Rocky Padilla. I have always been a fan of his music and to have Rocky and his family join our team and help inspire our Veterans to be the best version of themselves through music and other outlets is an amazing blessing!!!

Arizona vet, ex-inmate shares reentry story during White House program - Cronkite News - Arizona PBS Surprise resident Ray Perez said sharing his story of recovery from drug problems and homelessness with other veterans and ex-inmates is "a huge component" of his work. He took it to a new level this week, sharing his story as part of a White House roundtable.

So today was a weird one. We donated a motorcycle to that veteran with no other mode of transportation. This Veteran was down and out had to move out of his place and his bike broke down. He donated it to us because he couldn't get it running and was out of options. He had been walking and taking the bus. I picked up the bike after work today and Had it running within the hour we couldn't keep this bike knowing he needed it. So we donated it back to him he was so excited.

As you all know we try anything to keep our doors open so we can continue to help our Veteran community. We are looking for a used fork lift if anyone knows or has one for sale. We would even take one as a donation if it needs work we can probably fix it.

The business side of the Bunker, and if you ask me one of the best services we offer. Normally, on Tuesdays, we offer help with benefit claims. We have helped many veterans get rated and get the medical and financial help they deserve. We have recently helped a few homless veterans get a good rating, and now they are back on their feet and in their own place. We have many success stories from those who have gotten help here. A special Happy Thanksgiving to those serving that are not able to be with their families. We soldiers remember those times either in the Barracks, the field,NTC, or deployed but for some reason it was always a good time sharing a meal with our brothers and sisters.

On behalf of The Bunker we will be serving our veteran neighbors from the Mana house thanks giving dinner. We would like to extend an open invitation from our family to anyone in need of a meal , or companionship or if you don't have any plans and would like to join us we will be open from 1 to 5 pm . A special thank you to the Patriot guard Riders , veterans breakthrough with Tony Robin's Foundation, and Operation restoring Veteran Hope, BV Queens for helping to make this possible.
