Please join us for our Dia De Los Mu***os Festival at Copper King. It will be held on Friday, November 4th from 4:30-7:00 pm. Wristbands will be sold presale for $20 starting Monday, October 17th and end Thursday, November 3rd. Order forms will be sent home and available in the school office. Wristbands are $30 the day of event on November 4th.

Admission is free but inflatables, games, and food cost extra.

Hello families! Don’t forget to stop by the our Scholastic Book Fair during conferences this week. We will have it open Wednesday 10/5 and Thursday 10/6 until 6:00pm. Friday we will only be open during school hours. Students are also encouraged to bring more and shop during school hours.

Dear parents, students, staff, and community members,

Copper King PTA would like to welcome everyone to an amazing new school year! It is time to renew your annual PTA membership or if you are new to Copper King this school year please consider joining. Our Membership is $6.00 per person regularly and this year our membership drive includes 4 drawing tickets and a membership for $20. This runs from now until 8/31. This yearly membership gets you discounts on PTA event photos, local discounts, and most importantly valuable information regarding advocacy for your child and our community. Students in grades 6th-8th grade are encouraged to join. Anyone can join, so ask your family and friends. Meetings are held three times a year. Becoming a member does not mean you have to volunteer or attend meetings.

We are currently running a Membership Drive from now until August 31, 2022. This year we are giving away a brand new 75 inch Flat Screen TV with a Wall Mount (valued at $750.00) to one lucky person who joins. To be entered into this contest tickets are 4 for $20 and this also includes your PTA membership fee. A lucky winner will be announced at our Title 1 Curriculum Night Back to School Boogie Dance August 31, 2022. You can join online or with a paper copy. All students will be given one to take home or you can get one from the front office. All drawing tickets will be filled out by the board and entered into our PTA basket.

We have plenty of exciting events and dances planned for the 22-23 school year.

We received two awards this year from Arizona State PTA. One for the most organized PTA’s in the state and the 2nd one for the most grandparent engagement.

The 8th Grade Community Service Team is inviting you to participate in our community clean-up event on April 9th, from 10am to noon, at Copper King Elementary School. Come help us pick up litter in our community and at school and join us for donuts, pizza and our celebration afterwards. There will be a raffle for gifts cards to Target, Walmart, and more. Hope to see you there!

March Madness was a huge hit. Students and staff had a great time trying to make as many basketball shots they possibly could. Medals and ribbons were awarded to students who got 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place. What a way to head into spring spring break with a little bit of basketball fun! Thank you to all parents, staff, and community members that donated. 🏀🏀

Hello parents, don’t forget to have your kiddo sign up for the March Madness Free Throw Contest this week. Students can donate their $2 in the morning before school by the front office. There is only 5 days left! The class with the most participants will win an ice cream party! 🏀🍦

Pendergast Elementary School District is hosting an immunization clinic 11/10 & 11/17! Details below.

Hello amazing Copper King parents and caring adults, it’s time for our 2nd annual Turkey Trot. This year it will be held on Friday, November 19th during your child’s specials times. This year we are asking students to pay $1 to participate and this includes a ticket for a chance to win a turkey. One lucky boy and girl in each grade level will win a turkey after their grade trots. All money is due to their teachers by 11/17. Unfortunately this year we cannot allow spectators, instead we will share tons of pictures from each grade level trotting. 🦃🦃

PTA is also selling tickets 2 for $1 for students to get a chance to Pie their teacher after the Turkey Trot. Students can purchase tickets in the morning in front of the school. They can only pie a teacher in their grade level. 🥧

Please join us for our first PTA school fundraiser of the year! It will take place at Great Skate located at 10054 N. 43rd Ave. This event will be from 4:30pm- 7:00pm. Special engagement Copper King skate session from 4:30-5:30 pm and then it will be open to the public. Admission is $10 per person and that includes skates. Everyone is welcome so bring your family and friends! Make sure to mention Copper King at the window when you pay. We are so excited about skate night and can’t wait to see everyone there!
