We've been quiet for a while as we've been working on building this year's retreat. Our theme this year is "Rigorous Authenticity" which is builds on our recovery backbone of rigorous honesty. Take honesty to who we are, be vulnerable, be proud, be ourselves .... rigorously.

The dates for our retreat this year are November 15-17 at the Franciscan Renewal Center. We will be opening registration in July.

Special thanks to all who attended our Oscars Night Red Carpet Party to see Poor Little Things and Oppenheimer take down most of the awards. Ryan Gosling's hot pink outfit and Ken performance wasn't bad either :) We had a very successful night raising funds for our Renewal in the Desert scholarship fund. If you have been wanting or needing a spiritual respite from this world of work, stress, service work and whatever else in your life is overwhelming or draining your soul – we have the weekend for you. Three days dynamic speakers sharing their experience strength and hope, interactive workshops for the spirit, fellowship around the campfire and entertainment are planned at the beautiful and tranquil Franciscan Renewal Center in Paradise Valley.

You can commute to the event each day or go full immersion and stay with us for the weekend. Now is the time to get registered for the conference. It's time to find your joy!

We thank everyone who helped us raise money for scholarships this year and because of that we have plenty of space for those who would like to apply.

PLEASE DO NOT LET FINANCES BE AN IMPEDIMENT for attending our event this year. We want to have as many people attend as possible and we have the means in which to offer still a number of men the opportunity to attend free of charge including all meals and lodging with the share of some service work during the event.

Renewal In The Desert is proud to invite you back to our three-day spiritual retreat in beautiful Paradise Valley. It's a time and place just for us, a safe space for gay men to commune, refresh, learn, grow and share in sober fellowship.

The dates are October 20-23, 2023. The place is the Franciscan Renewal Center. The purpose? Finding Your Joy. It's a complete weekend of recovery and sobriety themed speakers, entertainment, workshops, and fun.

We are proud to share that in a world of rising costs we have been able to keep pricing level from last year. Registration is open until September 17th, 2023 and scholarships are available for those who want to attend but cannot pay. Come join us in a spiritual gathering for sober gay men!
