St. Benedict Catholic Church
We are a vibrant Catholic faith community that recognizes God’s presence in all and we respond with our lives. St. Benedict Catholic Church.
Benedict Catholic Church is a welcoming and vibrant family of believers located in the Phoenix community of Ahwatukee in Arizona. We recognizes the face of Christ in all and we respond with our lives. Our growing community is made up of members from all walks of life and we value our diversity. Our motto, “Where All Are Welcome,” stems from the belief that every person is a treasured child of God.
This Labor Day let’s take a moment to appreciate all the hard work we do—big or small—because every job has dignity when it’s done by someone made in God’s image. 💪✨
Happy birthday, Fr. James!
Your steady faith and devotion to your calling inspire us every day. We hope this special day renews your spirit and fills your heart with happiness, peace and love and may you have God’s blessings always. 🙏🏼🎂🎉
📢 TODAY IS A HOLY DAY OF OBLIGATION 📢 Mass times are 8:15 am, 12 noon and 7 pm. Aug,15 is the Solemnity of the Assumption of the Blessed Virgin Mary. Today we celebrate as the most glorious Mother of Christ, our Savior and our God, has been endowed with life by Him, she has received an eternal incorruptibility of the body together with Him who has raised her up from the tomb and has taken her up to Himself in a way known only to Him.
The month of August is dedicated to the Immaculate Heart of Mary! ❤
Most Holy Virgin Mary, tender Mother of men, to fulfill the desires of the Sacred Heart of Jesus and the request of the Vicar of Your Son on earth, we consecrate ourselves and our families to your Sorrowful and Immaculate Heart, O Queen of the Most Holy Rosary, and we recommend to You, all the people of our country and all the world. Please accept our consecration, dearest Mother, and use us as You wish to accomplish Your designs in the world. O Sorrowful and Immaculate Heart of Mary, Queen of the Most Holy Rosary, and Queen of the World, rule over us, together with the Sacred Heart of Jesus Christ, Our King. Save us from the spreading flood of modern paganism; kindle in our hearts and homes the love of purity, the practice of a virtuous life, an ardent zeal for souls, and a desire to pray the Rosary more faithfully. We come with confidence to You, O Throne of Grace and Mother of Fair Love. Inflame us with the same Divine Fire which has inflamed Your own Sorrowful and Immaculate Heart. Make our hearts and homes Your shrine, and through us, make the Heart of Jesus, together with your rule, triumph in every heart and home.
Amen.
When St. James was called by Jesus, he didn’t hesitate. He was courageous and devoted, and he became a great example for all of us. Let’s try to be more like St. James and answer the Lord’s call promptly and follow His guidance enthusiastically.
We’ll go first - Keeping a Rosary on the rear view mirror! Keep it going in the comments!
Today, we honor the feast day of St. Maria Goretti, a young martyr of purity and forgiveness. At just 11 years old, she exemplified extraordinary courage and faith, choosing forgiveness over hatred even in the face of violence. Let her story inspire us to live lives of virtue and mercy.
Stay safe and have a fantastic Independence Day! 🎉✨
