Due to a heat advisory, all city pools will only be open to residents and season pass holders from 12-7pm at no cost today and tomorrow, as capacity allows. Address verification is required.

We will continue monitoring the weather for the rest of the week. Stay hydrated and cool, especially older adults and young children. Hydration stations and shade areas will be available at each location.

These camps are hosted in partnership with the Muhlenberg College Wrestling Staff and are designed to introduce wrestling fundamentals to beginners and help refine the skills of more advanced participants.

Due to forecasted temperatures in the mid to high 90s and an extreme heat advisory in effect this week, the City of Allentown shares the following resources available to residents:

Pools: From Tuesday 6/18 to Friday 6/21, city pools will be open from 12-7pm to residents and season pass holders only as capacity allows, at no cost. ID required. Once we’ve reached capacity for the day(s), we will not allow any additional entry into the pools that day.

We are proud to introduce our FREE pilot program, which will now be an official sports program for children, youth, young adults, and adults.
Ark Rising Stars Athletics aims to provide a comprehensive youth sports program that fosters physical, mental, and emotional development in young athletes. Through structured coaching, positive reinforcement, and a focus on teamwork and sportsmanship, we strive to cultivate skilled athletes and well-rounded individuals who carry the values of discipline, perseverance, and respect in all aspects of their lives.
Sports will include but not be limited to:

Mission

The Ortiz Ark Foundation is committed to creating and sustaining a Family and Community Resources Ark in order to develop the capacities of under-served families in the community, increase their access to resources and effectively address the roots of societal inequities.

Purpose

The business and purpose of the corporation shall be to provide a variety services to families in order to build on individual, family and community strengths and develop the individuals’ and families’ capacity to thrive. Services shall include but not be limited to life skills and education, etiquette classes for youth and adults, trade labor skills, free legal clinics, sporting workshops and training, educational workshops, parent leadership programs, parenting support and education classes, after-school programs for youth, recreational and social events, housing, grants & scholarships .
