☀️Summer is here! And many of you lovely grown ups are home all day, everyday with your kiddos, now that school is out.

I have two daughters, and I absolutely love having them home during the summer months. While there are a lot of fun activities we do during these months, we equally do nothing and just relax. ☀️

🚫Let's be real, we can't spend every single day as parents traveling and going out to dinner, concerts, movies. Even though the kids are home, we still have things to tend to... like laundry, making dinner, work emails, phone calls, etc.👎

And even if you don't have such things to do, how about just simply being alone for a bit with some peace and quiet in the stillness of the day to catch your breath and enjoy a moment to yourself to recoup? Ummm I would love that! 🧘‍♀️

You don't need a daycare. I know I don't. And you don't need a babysitter at home while you are there. That's a huge waste of money. 🚫

But perhaps you would like to have a 🎉"regularly-scheduled-built-in-babysitter" for the summer NOT IN YOUR HOME but in a safe, fun place for your kiddos, and NOT outrageously priced?🎉

The hills are alive with THE SOUND OF MUSIC!!!! 🎭

You are only as good as those you surround yourself with, and I have indeed surrounded myself with some pretty amazing, helpful, talented, fun, and compassionate people. These beautiful souls gave up their day today to help me put on an incredible show to celebrate a bunch of really sweet kiddos and their lovely families. Actually, these people gave up a LOT more than just today.

Your hard work does not go unnoticed, nor do I take it for granted. We had some hiccups today, and everyone, like the professionals they are, made it all work instantly.

There is sooooo much that goes on in the theatre. You don't know the half of it. From a local community show to a production on Broadway, things happen. Curve balls get thrown. We take 2.4 seconds to panic, and then we act fast. The show must go on!

Yesterday, absolutely would not have happened without these superb humans. If you are reading this post and had a kiddo in this afternoon's show, know that your child was loved and cared for immensely.

What a gorgeous day for an audition!

What a weekend!

This place is indeed my little home away from home. I have never enjoyed being at my studio so much.

This weekend was a lot of rehearsing for our adult theatre ensemble. 🎭

To put it simply:

They. Are. AH-MAZING. 🎉

What a wonderful group of humans. I truly love them all. ❤️

Listen, over the years, people have walked through my door of their own freewill. Others because I begged them. Ha ha ha.🤭 "But you can sing!" I would say. "Please, oh, please come be in our show! I assure you you will love it!" And with an eye roll they would attended. AND THEN! ... They would be hooked! I just knew they would love it. I knew they would feel some type of way!!!

It's amazing how a group of strangers can come together and feel like family. Theatre does that to you. It's a positive experience for everyone involved.

Think you have no talent? No experience? The people in these photos will tell you. Oh yes, they will. You have nothing to worry about. Not at all. There is a place for everyone here, and we welcome you.🤗🥰

We have been working on this for a while now, and we are one step closer!

On Saturday, March 23rd from 5:30PM to 7:30PM we will be having an ARTS & CRAFTS NIGHT for students in grades K thru 6th.

This will be a super fun evening where kiddos can explore crafting and creating absolutely anything they want with an instructor present to help guide them and build upon their creative ideas.

We will be providing dinner for your kiddo. If your student has special dietary needs, and you feel most comfortable providing them a meal of your choice, please feel free to send them with one.

📢Season 14 of our FREE children's theatre program is back, and we are excited!!! 🎉

Please join the NORTHSIDE GALLERY PLAYERS JUNIOR for an awesome musical theatre experience! 🎭

This is a super fun alternative to the weekly camp programs, as it gives kiddos something to focus on throughout the whole summer! We work around vacation schedules, and it costs you nothing to have your young thespian participate!

Let's chat. I would love to meet you and your kiddo. We are in year 16, and it just keeps getting better. ❤️

I was sitting on the sidelines a few weeks ago, watching a class in session as I prepared the cookie decorating table for students. And I was in awe. 🥰

I was in awe at this little group who came together in the fall, very unsure of what was to come, now sharing friendship and laughter.

There was a bit of hesitation as the little ones looked over their shoulder to their parent as they prepared to climb the big steps up to the studio back in September.

Four months later, here we are, decorating cookies, playing games, learning all the cool moves that one does when they are 3 and 4 years old, AND (this is the most important part) talking and sharing stories with their peers and teacher!!!

These little wee ones who didn't speak for a good month's worth of classes (some not even participating in the activities but instead just standing there watching on the verge of tears) are now joyously giggling and eager to spend time together.

And of course, mums don't feel as nervous sending their kiddo in. After all, their child is safe and happy, and Mama gets a little break.

So I sat there on the sidelines, prepping the cookie table and sitting in awe. THIS is what it's all about. This is why I opened this place. This is what I love to see.

Children are truly a beautiful gift from God. They are the reason this world keeps going. How we treat them now determines who they will be when grown. I'm so honored that the JP Gallery can play a small part in that journey of shaping and growing. Being a support to families is why we are here. And when that positive connection is made, well then, artistic development is just a beautiful added bonus.

Enrollment is now open for the 2024 season. And for new families that want to give it a try, I am offering January at HALF PRICE with no obligation to continue and the enrollment fee will be waived. But I'm tellin' ya, your kiddo is going to have a great time, and I think might want to return. 😉 Just my opinion. 🤗

In 2023, we had lots of opportunities for youth to explore creative arts through set design and sporadic art night events.

You have spoken.

I have listened.

Now, your kiddo will be able to explore their creative arts talent regularly as a member of our CRAFT CLUB!

From painting🖌 to sketching✏️ and pottery🏺 to sewing🧵, your student will have the opportunity to explore various areas of design and learn from guest instructors throughout the year! 🎉
